Will my Stats Nosedive if I Take a Break?

The $100 question

https://www.freepik.com/author/fxquadro

In a recent article that got many eyeballs, I mentioned having second thoughts about writing on Medium.

Many writers chimed in to share how they were feeling.

Fatigue seems to be a common theme.

Yet, in order to remain active here one has to:

1️⃣Publish frequently.

2️⃣Spend a lot of time on engagement.

🛑Or run the risk of being forgotten.

Some claim their stats went way up after taking a break.

Many observed the opposite as is clear from the comments on my post.

Some suggest loyal readers will respect your need for a break and patiently await your return.

Yea, right.

Somehow, I doubt that unless you’re already a well-established writer.

So when faced with a choice between taking a break and starting from scratch vs quiet quitting, what does one do?

Please share your thoughts!
