Will Children Always be a Trial & Error Project

As soon as we start to grow we are taught about everything that would help us survive in this world. At School we are taught Maths, Science, History and so on. At home we are taught all the social manners. Soon we are at a stage where we have to decide a career for us. Supposedly this is the most important stage as it is going to decide what future beholds. All the efforts at School and College for sixteen or so years of our life are spent to prepare us for a professional life one day.

I sometimes wonder during all those years there was not a single page in any of the text books or any special class or training at School or College that would teach us on ‘How to be a good Parent’. Is that not a role almost everyone adopts sooner or later. As a kid if we can be taught the complexities of Maths and Science then why can we not be prepared about parenthood. Why raising children always remain a trial and error process. Why raising children always be an experiment for the parents.

It’s just a thought that why one of the most important role of our life is treated as an extra unless one actually becomes a parent.

No wonder we keep struggling mentally all our life. Messed up parents raise messed up children and the vicious circle keeps going on.
