Will Changing the Narrative Help Us Be More Responsive to Climate Change?

Save time and money — and improve quality of life, for real.

The latter sounds too good to be true. From personal experience, I am here to tell you that it is not.

I saved $200 a month by changing from a combustion engine vehicle to an electric car. Yes, you read that right: an electric car payment was $200 less than I paid for fuel — and that was before fuel prices nearly doubled (over the last month, since Russia invaded Ukraine).

When commuting to work, I attached my bike to the back of said electric car and saved 20 minutes on my travels by driving part way and biking on a trail connection where vehicle congestion accumulated. This action not only saved me time but also improved my physical and mental health and well-being.

There are so many personal benefits when it comes to changing actions that, coincidentally, are better for the environment however, when we lead the conversation with climate or environment — people shut down, disengage, and often get angry.

Instead, I extend an offer to save time and money — and improve your quality of life. Are you in?
