We are not the only species on the planet

We, humans, are so involved, With all that, we do in life. We forget that we are not The only living species in the world. Whatever we are doing daily, Does affect our blue world, Both directly and indirectly. We are civilized intelligent and free, We are the stewards of the Earth, We are living, breathing humanity. We are so comfortable in our lives. Our perfect lives in civilized worlds. A human planet where what we do, A world where what we say matters. A human world which we have made, From the tallest building to a shaving blade. In our arrogance, we believe we have, Created a world so vibrant and rare. Where billions of humans can dwell, While living free and without a care. We humans are the smart ones, Or we think that we are smart. Yet everything that we do harms Our world in some small way. Our intelligence and our knowledge, Has also lost its ancient wisdom. Our leaders have created our civilization, Which is capable of wrecking and destroying, This fragile world, where the last bird will not sing. We pollute and destroy forests, We fight wars and create disasters. Where is our wildlife is it safe and free? All the living organisms that live, Are not free from the claws of humanity, Could they thrive if allowed to be free? However, the bloodthirst of humans, That hunger for power, wealth, and success, Makes us the wild animals in earth’s history. We, humans, are wild and bound in chains, To the shackles of greed and prosperity. Wildlife is trapped in a net, We are not the only species on the planet.
