Why You Shouldn’t Rely Solely on Chat GPT for Your Scientific Papers

ChatGPT is creating waves. One of the critical areas in which people expect its highest value is text generation. There is also an ongoing debate that Chat GPT is capable enough to generate scientific manuscripts. While it can generate coherent text, it lacks the knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking skills necessary for a scientific paper. It can misinterpret technical terms and generate improper citations, making direct incorporation into scientific articles unsuitable and unsafe. While it can be beneficial with some writing tasks, it should not be relied on solely for scientific writing. Human intelligence and creativity are the most critical aspects that cannot be denied. Artificial Intelligence can be a reliable tool if used alongside human intelligence.
