Why you should watch Down to Earth with Zac Efron and Darin Olien

It will show you not only beautiful places in the world, but also teach you about history and various ways of living. More importantly, it brings an awareness to health and wellness of ourselves & the planet. Light, funny, and interesting with a seriousness that isn’t ‘over the top.’ Great for those who want to learn more about the world, enjoy National Geographic, perhaps are starting a journey of mindfulness, health, and/or environmental awareness…

Down To Earth is a documentary series that takes you around the globe, starting with Iceland. It shows you various ways people live as well as steps they are taking to give back to this world we live in — sometimes in the simplest of ways! So many great things to mention, but here are just a few to hopefully spark your interest:

Iceland Episode: Not only renewable energy and how they do it — which is super awesome — but also living so close to a volcano they can actually cook hard-boiled eggs and bread and such from the boiling water on the ground!!! Not to mention the healing sulfur lagoons…

Sardinia Episode: Blue Zones, which I actually have been hoping to write an article about from my Integrative Health Coaching Training. What they are, how they got their name, and why they are so intriguing/inspiring. Not to mention … PASTA!

France Episode: Free drinking water, natural and sparkling! Ultraviolet Light & High Oxygen Tanks! I have a client who has been and specifically mentioned the ease of finding water throughout Paris. Not to mention…healing waters and what constitutes a medical miracle!

Costa Rica Episode: What if your food came from your backyard, how might that change your life? “What if the problem is the solution…” Darin’s friend Stephen Brooks, who reminds me a bit of David Wolfe, and who built Punta Mona. It’s a communal living, farming, schooling, etc. Here’s a great reacp:

With only 8 epsiodes, it leaves you longing for more — the ending though was as much unexpected for the creators and crew as it was for the viewers (if not moreso). I don’t want to expose too much, but my heart goes out …

Seriously, a great documentary series to consider adding to your watch list — just try one episode :)
