Why You Should Travel While You’re Young at Any Cost

There’s more urgency than we may think

Would you rather travel the world and see new places while you’re young or when you’re older?

The easy answer is probably young. You can be in your twenties (arguably the prime of your life) and have all the energy in the world to taste everything life has to offer.

Hitting twenty-four years old was a huge wake-up call. It tells me that I’m nearly halfway to thirty — an age where you’re settled down, have a family, kids, and a lot more responsibilities.

For these reasons, I’ve scheduled a ski trip to Colorado with my brothers and a cruise with my family. It’s now or never. Read on if you need more inspiration to get out there.

Younger adults generally have more energy and ambition

Although people say that they’re forty yet still feel young surprises me. I could put traveling off and wait until later, but later is never guaranteed.

The age difference from 19 to 24 was drastic enough for me to realize that my body doesn’t recover as fast as it used to and that time’s-a-ticking.

Younger adults are generally more experimental and willing to take on new challenges — such as cliff jumping, skydiving, and scuba diving.

A goal of mine is to eventually scuba dive in Cenote Angelita and film a short story underwater. Better to do it sooner rather than later.

As we age, we might not have the time to visit all the places we wanted to visit

Time is such a scarce resource. There isn’t enough of it in this world. We have to make the most of the 24 hours we’re given and find a way to maximize it.

Getting older requires some of us to not be mobile.

Your full-time job could be extremely demanding and require your full presence — meaning no time for spontaneous trips.

While you’re young, you can make time — especially if you’re single with big dreams.

One of the worst feelings is being tied down to a responsibility and holding back your full true potential.

Final Thought

Instead of being like everybody else saying that you wish you could travel, why not be the person who’s actually going out there and doing it?

It’s not impossible. Work hard, save money, budget, plan, and execute.

We only get a small chunk of time on this Earth and we may as well make it the best we can.

Where do you plan on traveling?

Devise a plan and make it happen! I’m rooting for you!
