Podcasts Can Improve Your Life In So Many Ways
Podcasts are my new favorite thing. Here’s why:
1. They don’t hurt your eyes
I used to watch a ton of Netflix and YouTube, but after transitioning to working from home, my eyes have been so tired after a day of staring at my laptop. In a time when so many of us are looking at screens all day and even working from home, it’s important to give our eyes a break. Podcasts are a great way to relax and entertain ourselves without staring at the screen you’ve been looking at all day.
2. The best for multitasking
Podcasts are great for multitasking. In an age where hustle culture is so prevalent and we’re all trying to multitask all of the time, podcasts can be a good way to listen to whatever you want while also getting some work done.
3. Makes mundane tasks so much better
I love listening to podcasts when I do literally anything now: run, shower, drive, doing the dishes, vacuuming, etc. Podcasts are a safe and entertaining way to spice up your boring tasks.
4. The variety
The podcasting world has grown so much in the last couple of years. Nowadays, there is so much variety when it comes to podcast topics. Whether you’re looking to learn about a specific topic, get inspired, or even just listen to entertaining stories, there is a podcast for that — in fact, there are probably many podcasts for that.
5. They’re free!
One of the biggest reasons to try out a podcast is that they’re free and super accessible. Many of them are on popular platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts as well as podcasting platforms like Anchor. Many podcasts are super high quality and even very informative.
If you’re still not convinced, I urge you to just try one out. There is literally a podcast out there for everyone and I promise that it definitely will improve your life — whether that means making your morning jog a little more entertaining or expanding your knowledge base without doing much at all!
If you’re a podcast lover too, let me know what you’re favorite podcasts are and which ones I should listen to.
