Why You Need To Say “Damn It Yes” During The Turning Point Moments Of Your Life
Time is too precious to be wasted on things that do not matter

In life, I believe we all have turning points that change the trajectory of our lives. It's those moments when we have had enough, and we have those “realisation moments” or those “aha moments” of making a change in life. And when the opportunity presents itself, and it's an easy ”f**k yes” moment. You go all in because you know in your gut it's the right decision for your life.
For me, I have so many moments that I’ve lost count but going all in at a crossroad decision has really been pivotal in creating the life I want for myself.
For one, it's moving from different countries and different cities. Next, it was doing things that are bold, adventurous and somewhat reckless which would likely seem out of character from my introverted personality.
Don’t waste your time if it's not a “f**k yes”

There are so many people wasting time on things, work or people that are not aligning in the direction that they want to go to.
I used to be in a circle of friends that were unambitious and comfortable just being mediocre. They didn’t have aspirations for something more. To build something or even to explore the world or live their best life just seemed like a hassle. That’s why whenever I shared my passion for a different life, they could never understand it.
I came to realise that I wasn’t aligned with my purpose and if I stayed with those people I would go nowhere. So I started searching for new ways to change my life:
- I moved to a new city and country where there are more opportunities. Life is more than the same 3 friends and 2 bars that you visit.
- I did not stick to people that were not going anywhere just because I was lonely and wanted to pass the time. It’s Better to be alone and going forward than to be in a group and wandering aimlessly.
- I changed my habits and reinvented myself.
- I surrounded myself with people that were driven so it became the norm for me as opposed to it being the exception.
- I chose to live every day being the best version of myself by asking myself “Would I regret not doing this when I was a young man”.
Many billionaires / successful people you meet usually mostly start with a similar humble beginning. The defining moments changed their life and they took action so that they could change their life. They didn’t wait for some external force to save them or make them rich. They chose “action” because they knew staying the same would lead nowhere and they didn’t want that for themselves.
What can I do to come out ahead if I am dissatisfied with my life?
If you are dissatisfied with life and what you do every day it's because there is a “need” in your life that is not being met. You feel like a cog in a machine and you wonder if there is more to life than this.
Everything in life grows. Even your hair, your body, your knowledge, experience, etc
If you feel stuck or dissatisfied you can make a change to be a better version of yourself.
Reflect on where you are in life.
- Ask yourself hard questions about what the “future you” looks like. What do you want for “future you” and what do you need to do now to get to where the “future you” wants to be?
- Take action.
Remember these 3 rules:
- If you don’t go after what you want, you will never have it.
- If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.
- If you don’t step forward, you’ll always be in the same place.
Go all in if you know in your gut that it's the right choice for your life
That way you never have the dreaded “what ifs”.
I think the saddest aren’t those that failed in life, it is those that were too afraid to live a life true to themselves so they instead lived a life of what others expected of them.
Lastly, choose your decision wisely.
