That little voice inside your head

Millions of dreams go unfulfilled and infinite goals remain unachieved because the little voice within says “You can’t do this. You’re not up to that. You’re not good enough.”

And from where does that start?

Most times, there isn’t an inherently negative space within. It is all the consequence of looking at yourself through other people’s eyes, judging yourself from their perspective and viewing yourself through a faulty lens.

How seeing yourself through other people’s eyes impacts you

When you let others measure you up and determine your worth, you are not only giving up your life’s control but also degrading and belittling yourself in your own eyes. If this is allowed to continue for long, other people’s perception and low opinion about you will become your reality.

Each time someone casts a doubt on you or your ability, each time your inner voice fails you, you become a little more doubtful about yourself and withdraw into your cocoon.

You start playing small, hesitate to take risks and let go of the opportunities that come your way. Before you know, you go down the negative spiral of self-doubt and low self-esteem and begin to live a mediocre life.

Therefore, it’s important to remind yourself that ‘you’re enough.’ Do it often. In fact, practice it on a regular basis. This will enable you to mute the critic inside and prevent it from sabotaging your success.

Know your worth

You are more than what you think you are or what others think you are. You are enough. You are unique and you are capable. Allow yourself to express your true self, to be ‘You’ and to bring forth the real you. Only then you’ll be able to unleash your full potential and bring out the hero in you.

The ability to achieve anything comes from the belief that you can achieve it. And it begins with feeling ‘enough.’

Feeling worthy empowers you

Knowing you are adequate — and complete — makes you feel confident and empowered. It also deepens your self belief and convinces your of your true worth.

Another corollary of feeling enough is that when you master your own voice, you are able to deal with the naysayers and the critics easily.

When you are mighty strong within, the outside forces cannot influence you or harm you.

Final Thoughts

You may not be perfect, you may not be everything but you are ENOUGH — good enough — to chase your dreams, accomplish your goals and live a great life doing what you love doing.
