Why Would You Follow and Read My Writing Here?

Summary: direct evidence (from other websites) suggests that I will not BORE you.

Tulip Bouquet Free Stock Image from StockSnap. Postmarked postage stamps on envelope.

You will not always agree with me, but you will find enough INTERESTING ideas to compel you to read, or…so I hope. Hoping is free. No clickbait, just writing worthy of your precious little time.

I want to write about interesting ideas and the visual METAPHORS that could be created to convey them to you. Not just literal visualizations of the ideas.

Remember those #motivational posters, with some quote and an image that are totally unrelated?

That’s exactly what I DON’T want to do.

Instead, create an image, (or describe that image with text) that would be a memorable visual equivalent of that quote.

For example, I like the Successories company, for their many awesome motivational posters. But tell me if this specific Bald Eagle image really is a visual metaphor or even a relevant visual expression of Leadership:

A bald eagle is not a “leader”. It’s a SOLITARY bird of prey, like so many others. They don’t hunt in packs, gangs, prides, murders (like crows), congresses (like the REAL baboons), etc. Leader of no one.

“Leadership” of a bald eagle is just a “figment of your imagination”.

Another thing I want to write about is my new, revolutionary approach about having great fun with an educational hobby. Specifically #philately (stamp collecting), and especially #maximaphily. Not the classic, passive and boring style of collecting, as perceived by the young and the restless of today.

I’ll show you how to express yourself by creating your own personalized postage stamps. Also, personalized postcards, and even pictorial postmarks.

Before I upload super-cool images here, and in my future articles (of distinction, I hope), I am still researching answers to this:

“Is it OK to use USPS stamp images to upload to Unsplash, iStock, Getty Images, pixabay, etc?

How about postcard images?

Under what conditions?”

List of copyright status for postage stamps, by country. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Stamps

Another educational hobby I’d love to write about, with many images, is #LEGO building. A constructivist approach, especially for RAFOLs (Repressed Adult Fan Of LEGO), not for reckless toddlers.

It can be very therapeutic, especially in these pandemic times, to create something with your hands, “as seen in your imagination”. I love LEGO!

There are many cool websites about LEGO creations.

For example: https://www.tipsandbricks.co.uk/

Plus some other subjects of writing, but…later.

Also, I will do my best to entertain you (while reading) with witty remarks, clever word jokes and overall good humor.

I need you to be open-minded, though. Mental constipation is counterproductive. Relax (your mind, I might specify)!

A laughter a day…might keep stress away. Or diminish it, at the very least.

Did you notice on YouTube how NOBODY has only thumbs up from their thousands of viewers? Even the best and the brightest have their UNFAIR share of thumbs down, from h8rs and other donkeycav*s.

Besides the genuine dissenters.

So, while I won’t please everybody, at least I hope to please most/some/enough of you.

Is my exuberance alangreenspanesque?

Thank you for reading my first story on this website!

Let me know what you think. I’ll read you, too.
