Why We Need Passion Project.

It is an act of self-love

As long as I can remember I have always wanted to write a novel.

I actually began a few.

My goal was to write it and then self-publish it on Amazon.

I came close to meeting this objective on a few occasions.

Then something would discourage me and that dream would die along with my motivation.

I guess I am not painting a pretty picture of myself here.

I can be a flake at times and my list of unfinished projects only validates that.

That's on me though.

I give up way too easily and that has proved to be troublesome throughout my life but that is a topic for another article.

Having a passion project

There are times when many of us feel our lives are sedentary.

We wake up and drudge through the monotonous grind of everyday life.

There's nothing that drives us to be the best versions of ourselves.

It is all lost with day-to-day expectations.

It is enough to just get through the day let alone take on any extra tasks.

Even if it is something that we are passionate about it usually gets laid off to the side for when we have more time.

Or more energy.

Many of us know that time never comes.

Eventually, our enthusiasm dies alongside our intentions.

This can be particularly true for those who struggle with depressive episodes.

It can be hard to only muddle through the day, with nothing to look forward to.

That's where having an activity or project comes in.

Having something we can get excited about can overall improve our quality of life.

Passion projects enrich our lives and drive us closer to meeting our life goals.

It turns dreams into concrete possibilities.

Passion projects aren't to be confused with hobbies.

Passion projects are usually creative endeavors.

Examples of this are writing stories or perhaps painting a portrait.

Considering many of us are writers I must assume that your writing may be considered a passion project although I am aware for some of you it's more your career or livelihood.

That does not mean you may have delegated some of your writing or some other creative endeavor as your passion Project.

It is important to note that passion projects are not for the purpose of making money.

It is not to say money can't be earned through the process but its intention is initially because it's something that is done out of love for the activity and it motivates you to be the best version of yourself.

Hence the word Passion.
