Why We Have Self Doubt
And How to Banish it Forever

Did you ever wonder why you have self-doubt? Why do we find it so hard to do things in life we want to accomplish? We have all experienced s4lf-doubt and probably on more than one occasion. Here’s why we have self-doubt and what you can do to banish it from your life forever.
We Fear the Unknown
We experience self-doubt because we fear the unknown. When you want to accomplish something, you need to do specific tasks to get there can feel daunting. For example, sometimes you want to lose weight. It takes a lot of effort to lose weight, and the process of losing weight can seem out of reach.
As you work towards losing weight, the fear of what’s to come can hold you back. Maybe you fear failing and gaining the weight back, plus more. Perhaps you fear that you’ll probably become a different person than you are right now. You may miss the comfort that you’re so used to. You may fear your new body more than the one you’ve lived in for so long.
Lack of Motivation
Often we need the motivation to do anything. A health scare could become a huge motivating factor in terms of weight loss. In absence of a health scare, you may not want to do anything about your weight because you lack the motivation to do it. You tell yourself you want to lose weight but then can't seem to start the process to lose weight.
The probable lack of motivation is that you need to take action for something to change. You can't sit there and want to lose weight or get a new job. You have to take steps to make the process happen. Your motivation should be what you want to accomplish. If you can start the process in the first place, then you’ll be set to have real success.
Stop using a lack of motivation as a factor that holds you back. Baish your doubt about what you want to accomplish and go about taking the steps necessary to accomplish the task you want to get done. Using a lack of motivation is an excuse that holds you back from reaching that goal you want to achieve.
Inability to Accept Failure
Whenever you try to accomplish a task, you’ll probably fail from time to time. most people aren't very successful with their first business. You need to use failure as a tool for learning.
If you fear failure it could be the reason why you’re not moving ahead. Don't allow your self-doubt about your abilities to hold you back. Failure may happen, but it only means that you have things to learn.
You can't get better at anything unless you try. I would never have learned how to play the guitar if I didn't sleep at it. I could have listened to my self-doubt and allowed failure to hold me back, but I kept at it and eventually was able to play.
Learn from your failures and stop using them as a crutch to never try again. We have all failed at something in life, but those that learned from the failure are far better off. Stop beating yourself up about your failure and use it to motivate yourself to do better in the future.
You Focus on Only the Negative
Life can be challenging at the best of times. You have self-doubt because you focus on the negative and this becomes self-defeating.
Try to focus on the positives in your life and banish the negative emotions. We often have self-doubt because we focus on only the negative emotions and never on anything positive.
There’s always something positive to be gained, no matter what the situation you’re faced with. That positive factor may be minor but focus on that and not the negative emotions you feel, as you’ll only make yourself feel worse.
You Won't Take the First Step
To make a change, you need to take the first step. We often fail because we won’t take that first all-important step to start the process of change. Set yourself a goal, and then work through the steps required to make that goal a reality and start making changes.
For example, dropping your sugar consumption could be one goal of losing weight. If you don’t take any steps, you’ll never lose any weight because you’re stuck in the same old cycle. Banish your doubt and take the steps required to bring about change.
Self Doubt is in Your Head
Banish self-doubt by having confidence in your abilities. You’re far more powerful than you think. We cn accomplish a great deal by getting past that mental barrier we all have. All this takes is a willingness to try and to take those small steps forward towards whatever goal you have.
One step soon becomes a mile.
