Sect I — Q-A:

There’s you: Pouring and smelting away at a similar concoction day-to-day expecting some semblance of return, like an ironworker wishing to receive a diamond in the murky dust;

The chances could happenstance it that some reward maybe on the end of this endeavor, but there is no guarantee in how much, if one is going about it independently. So does the energy go?;

Isn’t that what most hold dear to expectations — that return of an expanse? An effort was given, a time seized, a lyric pushed too far. All for what — even if the best-placed thing amongst you all is done, and returns naught, what was it for?

In the space I have made, I’m in no position to affront you with Without Reward claus, as this class remains lower on the rung of importance. A living wager is what we’re talking about here.

Weekdays are tolerable, the weekends evermore departing on your mind, so where can it be now?

A toiling can easily be had, but why, where and sprouted on what wit?

ANSWER: To write is one thing, which the majority can ado without affinity in their degrees, yet the preciseness of when and where to write is wholly another; rather, it is the conjoining factor between beginning a piece upon a page and where it’ll be used and elevated on.

The soul enchanted by the mere prospects of Writing can easily be disappointed if it hasn’t tasked itself well with the hardships and due difficulties of writing well, and writing well where it is applicable to do so.

Many miss out on the later, while the former can slowly be granted in privacy before the big showing.

To some, it’ll feel like an uncontrollable dial is being cranked by some invisible force, and it must be itched.

Applicable doesn’t solely mean to be employed somewhere with the already needed clout and station to distribute, but a place where one can foster growth, and allow for peeling eyeballs to gander upon your crafted pieces.

Silence affords much, but the silence of mouths, the blindness of eyes, and the deafness of ears doesn’t fill the bowl with a hearty stew!

And these unrealistic prospects do heave a depression upon the heart, as the seemingly widening gap entices, so does the trance of dreams that swiftly beckon the way to disillusionment. Grasp yourself well, there are too many wayward trekkers out there to find yourself lost with.

So there is an answer for you to apply, know why you write, how you write and where to write. Elevation my dear reader, is what a platform may offer you in the early, rougher days.

Sect II — Q-B:

Wouldn’t you say, in this current ebb of dishing tidbits, that you wish them to stop coining new terms over epochs every five fluttering seconds, to every newly beheld nibble? — I do too!

Some larker may say I hardly form to Populace conventions, and absolutely will I smack the tongue with a firm AYE! I cannot contend to write to any popular form of the day — only to what befits the Ideas the best; so I am atomized to the perpetual flowing and tearing state of ideas then… So be it! I’ll be the smarter Rebel if need be.

A great petty harm is done by the disinterested wayfarer who reads one piece from you — be that a Poem or a striped thingamajig spouts a typical response; a fairly soulless thing if one can venture out into the realms of whine.

Leaving your responses a little colder, as the fishes dine on the wine that has been spilled by your disgruntled hands. So be it — but Why, you should ask, another question you should heed is Whom should I concern myself with?

This brings it to the title question of the Writing and this invisible dial on the back, cranking you on and on.

ANSWER: Why, most Sightseers, [Especially this one] either cause the cold-shoulder to grow in sudden popularity or, have a mild verbal fisticuff with the usual Wayfarer snaring by and by. Never resort to violence, dear duckies — still…

Never retreat away from good criticism, in fact, cherish it, because when stark words and unkind scrutiny befall your written pieces, you’ll be looking for a firm ally in clarity and reference; so the tenderhearted critic, with sincerity nestled in their bosom may be your firmest of allies in such unknown storms. Especially if one is in the beginning of their rough journey.

Trends are nearly as flippant as the headwind on any given day or changing season, hold yourself true to a substance of meaning, inquiry and consideration. Don’t stagnant and believe yourself safe simply because you hold to principle, because what worked yesterday, may not necessarily work tomorrow.

So try and meld some control of that dial, hidden in plain sight on your back, and steady that passion, and see what it is, when it is, for what it is. And there, may things build.

To round it all nicely, I shall leave you with a cheeky retort: To Write well is good enough to tell, but once the written tale is uncovered and is found out hallow, the crowds will disperse twice as quickly as they arrived.

May it impart you with the will to consider, at the very least.

Ever yours; The Doctor [Adams]
