Why the Black Community Needs to Stand in Solidarity with the Asian Community

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. – Martin Luther King
Simple!
I have been in so many clubhouse rooms about justice for Asian communities, I have heard different perspectives from different individuals. To my surprise, I came across quite a number of rooms against black people standing up for the Asian community. Why is that so?
First I am going to lay out what my personal thoughts are about the situation then we look at it from others' point of view.
I think that love for humanity should come before anything else, we should stand for one another even if the others don’t do the same for us, you cannot fight fire with fire. Regardless of the treatment we as black people get from Asians not only in America but in Asian countries as well we should always be the “bigger person” and show them no matter how we get treated we are always going to show love and put humanity first. We should put our differences aside and fight the common enemy.
Love always wins….
However, when we look at it from the perspective of other people we tend to see the trend that why should we as black people stand with the Asian community? after all the blacks experience more racism in America than any other race and that's facts!
First and foremost they see the issue as to where was the Asian community when the Black Lives Matter movement was going on? not mentioning individuals here because I personally have Asian friends and they were vocal about the BLM movement but we are talking about Asians as a community. They were quiet about the matter my guess is it didn't concern them.
Secondly let us not forget that Asians, when I say ‘Asian’ specifically East Asia cause they are the ones currently experiencing hate crime. They are racist to black people, I hate to single out a whole community and say they are racist because I know how it feels to be stereotyped as a black person. But we need to say how it is most of them are racist.
Thirdly, most Black people are hurt because of what they go through every day in America and most communities don’t stand up for them. The issue that others also brought forward was that why is it that whenever a community is facing problems the black community is always asked to stand up for them. What happened to other communities e.g the Hispanic, Arab etc why is it only the black community that is always being called out and asked to step up. Most of this racism is always done by White people, why are they not asked to stand up against their own race?
With all that being mentioned I understand where people are coming from, I understand that a lot of Black people go through so much and no one barely stands up for them and they are always asked to stand up for other communities. We as Black people should see this as other communities looking up to us because they see what our unity does, they see the kind of change that comes when we as Black people unite and come together our voices get loud and it comes with so much impact. Rather we should cherish this as we are seen as people that hold so much power to make changes and actually use it to our advantage and help other communities as well.
PEACE and LOVE
