Why Spring Is Nature’s Gift and a Reminder to Honor Life
The immense beauty we see reminds us of what we carry within

Spring is the sweetest time of snowdrops, green grass, daffodils, and bluebells. A time when we welcome with eager anticipation of nature to unfold and peel back its winter cast-off.
Bees buzz, birds sing, life blossoms in continuous harmony. Goodbye, winter out with the old, time to make way for the new. A new phase in the cycle and circle of dependencies is now due.
So with spring’s promise, I think of longer days taking morning and evening walks in daylight. There is no need to carry a torch to see my way or be burdened with heavy winter clothing to protect my skin. Instead, life rises with vitality, earnestness, and vigour, and I am reminded of what it means to be alive.
“No winter lasts forever; No spring skips its turn” — Hal Borland
Those precious family times in the garden sharing fun and laughter and when it is quiet, and all is said, and there is no more to be done. I think of those stolen moments in silence with my thoughts feeling the warm sun and breeze on my face, appreciating the growth that comes from breaking free of conditional happiness.
When we can just be and not fuss and worry about what we must do, it is then that we can see all the love that hides in the places we have forgotten and reconnect and remember who we are.
Just as flowers bend and grow towards the light, spring is more than our reward for a winter’s survival. It is our chance to turn and honour with gratitude each day we have and know that as we lean and grow into ourselves, better days where we thrive will arrive.
