What We Can Learn From Simone Biles and Her Husband.
Another classic example of why women should not pursue men.
Ok, I really tried not to write about this.

However, the clips from an interview with Jonathan Owens (Simone Biles husband) continues to go viral.
Titles like “When your man thinks he is the prize” are popping up everywhere.
I can’t even bring myself to watch the video due to the second hand embarrassment I feel for her.
In the clips, the two interviewers asked him questions regarding their relationship.
Not only did he refer to himself as “the catch” he made sure everyone knew she went after him.
Honestly, it’s giving he’s the chick in the relationship.
He went out of his way to speak on how she contacted him through the dm, drove 45 minutes to see him, how he wasn’t sure about her, and didn’t know if he wanted to commit.
Every dating coach I watched agreed that, she was doing too much.
Aside from that, any man with the amount of arrogance he displayed is guaranteed to be a problem.
Another red flag was, his need to undermine her success in order to spare his own ego.
He said, “I was in camp so I didn’t know who she was.”
Even if that was true, those little slights become programmed into a woman’s subconscious.
Then before you know it, she is doubting her own value and worth.
While I agree that the right man can be a prize in a relationship, she is clearly the prize in this one.
Let’s face it, no one is asking, “who is Jonathan Owens wife?
People are asking, “who is Simone Biles husband?”
Not to say he isn’t successful, because he is.
He is a handsome, young, rich, NFL player.
Since they are both professional athletes, I can understand the compatibility.
However, I think women forget that men in general are highly competitive with fragile egos.
Therefore, no man wants to feel like he is being compared to a woman, especially a woman he is in a relationship with.
There are countless tales from women that married successful men only to have those men become jealous when she became even more famous and successful.
For example: Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert.
Teyana spoke about having to turn down opportunities and shrink herself in order to save her marriage, and it still didn’t work.

The bottomline is, there’s a reason why almost every species of male goes after the female, it’s nature.
I wish her the best.
