Why Should Quality Matter over Quantity?
Every writer’s focus should be quality over quantity.
The biggest challenge is how to know it? That you are actually writing quality. Only the true critique can let you know about your writing.
But my main concern is about the Facebook groups.
Facebook groups always confuse you. The biggest drawback of Facebook groups is, your shit articles can be appreciated too by the readers. Because no one is gonna give the true critique of your writings there.
If you see any future in writing, then write for your readers. If you have a full dependency on views from social media. That is for sure. It is a “give and take’’ relationship, nothing else.
Suppose tomorrow morning you wake up and see in the Facebook groups that there is some violation issue. No one can post their links in groups.
How do you expect yourself to get views on your articles?
Because, as you write articles, after the publishing of 8–9 days, your articles are dead.
How they are gonna benefit you then?
If you don’t have any of your true readers apart from the “give and take’’ relationship.
In, Facebook or any other social media Group. Suppose you post an article in the group. Then other people post their article in the comment section. They are reading or maybe just clapping and the same you are reacting with theirs.
Will this relationship work for the next article too?
OR Will you find another same relationship for the next one too?
What the shit is it?
Organic traffic
Organic traffic might not help you to earn on this platform. Because you need, the only member’s reader. If you can SEO your articles. That is great. But without quality, you can’t retain your readers.
Returning readers
If you don’t have returning readers. You are lacking somewhere in your writing. Whatever you write, just write for your readers. Not for sake of the increasing the number of your articles. There are so many great writers. They have written for readers. The only earning from writing is killing the real talent. Because of the money involved in writing, people come to write just for the sake of money. And the true writer suffers while earning their bread and butter. I am not against earning from your writing. If you are a full-time writer. Then how your food will come to your table?
But true writers have to struggle a lot there. Write less, but focus on quality.
Quality is not only-
A perfect piece of grammar, A proper formatting of paragraphs, proper headlines and etc.
These are the essential part of your writing. But not the full definition of quality.
The quality is -
A unique message in your words. How clear the perspective is, that you want to tell? The information you want to pass to your reader, how engaging it is for your reader. Is it passing the exact information that you are about to pass? How engaging your writing is, if the reader starts reading it from the first paragraph, the reader should scroll it to the last paragraph. Make your reader quench to read more of your work. That is the quality.
If you are writing one article instead of three or four in a week. In the same way in a month you are producing four articles. Trust me, those 4 articles might not give you the real result just an instant, but you will see the result in the long run.
Your quantity articles will die in a few days. And even they can leave an impact on the readers about you like he writes a lot like good for nothing.
Let me give you an example
Would you go for a $20 top-quality shirt to wear? Or Will you go for 20 rubbish shirts costing each $1? I know. You would prefer a one quality shirt whether it costs $20 or more. You will not go for 20 cheap shirts.
In the same way, you are going to get benefits from quality one. That is the different thing if you can produce quality with quantity, that means you are pro. Then this article is not for you.
When you produce quality automatically you will be much proficient to produce both at the same time soon.
It is like a business, you need to retain your readers by providing quality and some announcements. Something new to your followers or readers.
