Why She Left
A Poem of Heartbreak and Loss
Why she couldn’t stay, and let love grow I’m left here alone, with nothing to show But a heart full of pain, and tears that flow
I remember the days, when we were in love The laughter, The joy, and the warmth thereof But now it’s all gone like a dream that fades Leaving me with memories, mistakes to evade
Why she left, I’ll never know Why she couldn’t stay, and let love grow I’m left here alone, with nothing to show But a heart full of pain, and tears that flow
I try to move on, but it’s hard to do When all I see, is the ghost of you I wish I could turn back time, and make things right But it’s too late now, you’re out of sight
Why she left, I’ll never know Why she couldn’t stay, and let love grow I’m left here alone, with nothing to show But a heart full of pain, and tears that flow
Now I must accept, that you’re gone for good And try to move on, as best as I could But the memories will stay, like a bittersweet song Of a love that once was, but now is gone.
