Abstract

The article on the undefined website addresses the critical issue of protecting LGBTQ children from harmful political agendas and societal discrimination. It argues that children, including those who are LGBTQ, deserve to be safeguarded and supported in their development, free from the damaging effects of legislation and cultural stigma. The author criticizes the actions of certain politicians, particularly Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, for focusing on divisive policies instead of addressing real issues affecting children's well-being. The piece underscores the need for unity and active resistance against laws and rhetoric that target LGBTQ youth, suggesting that such actions are not only morally wrong but also detrimental to the future of society.

Opinions

  • The author asserts that no political group should decide who is an American and that targeting LGBTQ children is akin to criminal behavior.
  • The piece suggests that the Republican Party, particularly under the influence of figures like Ron DeSantis, is failing to address significant problems in Florida while focusing on a culture war against Disney and other opposition.
  • It emphasizes that children are facing unprecedented challenges and that legislators should be working to protect and support all children, not just a select few.
  • The author points out that the so-called "parental rights" legislation is vague and intended to confuse and disrupt, potentially leading to increased litigation and a waste of resources.
  • The article calls for the election of officials who genuinely care about the well-being of all citizens, especially children, and who will work to reduce inequalities in schools.
  • It concludes that the response to these issues is crucial and that supporting all students equally can significantly diminish disparities, ultimately saving lives.

Are you protecting children or the bullies?

Why Saying “Gay” is So Damn Important!

When You Were a Child, Were There Things You Wish Someone Had Protected You From?

Sometimes, it feels as if Trumpism has killed humanity in the entire world. I believe it’s not too late. We have to protect all of the children.

I'm so proud Disney finally took a stand. I imagine many parents will agree with me; I have spent too much money on a company made for CHILDREN for it not to support all children.

Tyler Perry said it perfectly on the Kelly Clarkson show, “I could not imagine turning against my child for the way he was born.”

The American Psychological Association states that we do not get to choose our sexuality; we only decide when to come out [or not.]

Targeting children is wrong. Targeting children for something they have no power to choose is criminal — every child is essential. Every child matters.

That’s the way it’s supposed to be. But we have so many people that are certain that they have the RIGHT to unlimited— POWER, MONEY, and PRIVILEGE, and they’re willing to take any of us out that gets in their way.

That is their goal. Every person is collateral damage to the GOP.

Legislating for the fetus and aiming shoulder rockets at the LGBTQ kids is exactly what they’re doing, and the children are looking at all of us to save them.

Are we going to stand for the children or stand by while OUR next generation suffers irreparable harm from the Republicans' attacks?

I cannot recommend this article by Walter Rhein enough. It is a wonderfully written and insightful piece by a man about men.

Conservatives are trying to change reality through legislation.

Frustrated white men who have never had a sexual encounter they didn’t pay for shouldn’t be writing the playbook for adolescent education.

The Republicans have hijacked words like “Conservatives” and “Christian” and turned them into keywords for cult members who are mentally head-wired to do exactly as they’ve been told — repeatedly by Fox News , talk radio, and morons on podcasts who value stock holdings more than lives.

Replace the word “Republican” with a “criminal gang,” and what you have is a taxpayer-sponsored gang strumming the drum of hate and organizing angry mobs to go after children. They use neuromarketing, manipulation, and bold lies to make people think it’s the right thing.

It’s a deadly lie. It’s manipulation intended to cause people to have STRONG feelings about things you typically would not. It’s deliberate manipulation, often with fatal consequences. It reveals the worst of society; we’re allowing ourselves to be made numb to it.

It’s like 33% of the country is living in the Truman Show or stuck in the locker of MIB — Men In Black.

Common sense says that if they are successfully allowed to legislate against LGBTQ individuals — it is just the beginning.

They will target other “marginalized” groups they feel are unworthy of full American Citizenship and all of the protections and opportunities that go with that BIRTHRIGHT (or gained at full citizenship).

Do we want to let political groups decide who is an American and who isn’t?

That means people with disabilities (autism, Downs Syndrome, genetic disorders) will be too much of a strain on the system the Republicans [who shun education and science] want but don’t know how to build, grow or maintain. Those services will be the first to go, and then what happens to the children and families?

It’s real. Republicans don’t protect healthcare, human rights, and civil rights any better than they do LGBTQ Rights. American Rights should never go in and out of fashion according to who has the majority in the House and Senate.

Don't be fooled by the likes of Gov. Ron DeSantis! He is a horrid, m,-fueled, spit-shined copy of Donald Trump. Even then, he is still nothing more than another Snake Oil salesman. He's here to trick you, lie to you, and make you trust him while feeding you the words that will bring death to children. That's not hyperbole; that is real.

If you believe God wants you to destroy LGBTQ people and children to earn your way into the Pearly Gates, you’re justifying HATE with the Creator of Love. That’s not going to work, and deep down, you know it.

Repeating wrong information doesn’t make it right.

A few things are going on here and the whys behind it.

Let's start with that NO ONE talks to children in elementary school about "gender identity."

That's a lie to distract you from what’s important, and that is Republicans have failed Floridians for 25 years!

55% of Florida’s children are at or below the poverty line.

Talk to a teacher. They have their hands full trying to pour into the children all the necessary requirements for school PLUS —for many children, teachers are the only source of love, kindness, and humanity some will ever know.

Teachers are the protectors of our future generations. We should empower our teachers — not target them!

This bill is intended to divide, isolate and hurt LGBTQ kids. DeSantis would rather distract you than have to do his JOB!

Teachers would love for parents to be invested in their children’s school ALL THE TIME — not for power and photo shoots. You don’t get to send your children off for daycare and then get to dictate how the daycare enforces policies.

Why should you be able to do that in a PUBLIC SCHOOL?

If you want to influence how public school is taught in your neighborhood, join in, volunteer, and be involved. That’s how you show your support. Not legislating against students and teachers. These people have no skin in the game!

DeSantis works for Floridians. According to Caknowledge.com, He receives a fixed income of $180,000. and his net worth is $52 Million USD. His net worth increased 20% in 2021.

What would you have to do to increase your net worth by 20% in one year while failing at your job?

FLORIDA has so many problems. DeSantis wants you to think he's doing a great job because he said he is working to defend "Parental Rights” over how their children should be educated."

Wait, that's important, right?

Or just very deceptive pretty words?

What is being done to deal with problems in Florida schools that real Florida students face? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

That’s what they call a distraction technique. It’s to make taxpayers think your government is actually working for you. You’re smart enough to see they’re not.

You’re so much more intelligent than DeSantis is giving you credit.

While targeting LGBTQ students, the Governor of Florida isn’t doing anything to help any Florida students.

DeSantis is waging a culture war against Disney and everyone else who opposes him. What a fragile little ego he must have to behave this way.

Nikki Fried said this on Twitter last week.

Nikki Fried is Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner and is running to be the next Governor of Florida. She does have a point — doesn’t she?

What work is Ron DeSantis actually doing for Florida?

Florida is paying this man, granted not as much as the special interest groups, but he is on the payroll. He gets the Governor's Mansion and the ability to fuck mass Floridians without fear of an STD. Are you getting your money's worth?

Florida has been under Republican rule for 25 years — Florida is failing at unemployment, infant mortality, crime, Covid — everything of importance. So attacking LGBTQ kids is what Governor Ron DeSantis chooses to place his focus?

Why does it matter?

We are going through unprecedented times. Growing up is more complicated than it's ever been. Children need us more than ever.

Here is a list of a few things children have faced daily for decades. These are the kinds of things you may have dealt with daily when you were in school.

  • Violence
  • Drug abuse
  • Broken homes
  • Abuse at home
  • Food scarcity
  • Emotional abuse

From here is a list of ten things kids face today — we never had to struggle with

  1. Distorted Body Image
  2. Cyberbullying
  3. Sex Trafficking
  4. Pornography
  5. Religious Persecution
  6. School shootings
  7. increased drug use
  8. Social media
  9. Addiction to video games
  10. Increased mental illness

There are many reports of social media algorithms aimed against our children. That is HUGE. How many articles have you read on Medium about the almighty algorithm? Imagine how overwhelming it would be if you were to find out it was INTENTIONALLY aimed to harm you. That's what's happening with our kids — multiplied [via social media.]

The article above is about ANOTHER lawsuit from TIKTOK moderators for PTSD because of the horrific images they are exposed to every day. If their moderators are suing over this — can you imagine what gets through and what our children are subjected to — every day?

From a study over ten years old, there are some incredible data- even then. You can find the link here.

  • 90% of LGBT students hear anti-LGBT comments in school  https://www.apa.org/topics/lgbtq/sexual-orientation
  • On average, an LGBT high school student will hear 26 anti-LGBT slurs per day 
  • 1/3 of which come from a school staff member.
  • 84% of LGBT youth report verbal harassment at school because of their gender identity and/or sexual orientation.
  • 74% of Transgender youth report sexual harassment at school based on their gender identity and expression.
  • 25% of LGB students have been physically hurt by another student because of their sexual orientation.
  • 55% of Transgender youth report physical attacks based on their gender identity and/or expression.
  • 28% of LGBT youth drop out of school due to this harassment.

Here's my problem. There are TRUCKLOADS of documented evidence that because of all of the reasons I listed above, our children need us to pour our resources, love, attention, and time into solving any of those issues.

What Florida deserves is a governor that spends the day working to make the lives of the people of Florida better.

Has Ron DiSantis passed any laws that would protect children — LGBTQ or otherwise?

We have data proving KNOWN damage being done to LGBTQ children in school and we don't have a single governor presently in the office right now, doing a news conference announcing new legislation to be signed with special pens, surrounded by smiling, children as he makes it a law to protect ALL children.

Nope! Especially not Ron DiSantis or the other 17 states are passing legislation to hurt children for their political gain. It doesn't get sicker, more deadly, or more dangerous!

There is no time to sit on our asses and do nothing. We need to say GAY! We need to vote out manipulators for trying to sell us snake oil to cure our social ills.

The most deadly social ill facing us as Americans are politicians who are selling gas chambers to churches tax-free, and they're lining up to get the newest model.

We can make a difference. We can stand together and stand up to bullies in Congress, our legislatures, our school boards, and even our homes. We can, we will, and we must.

Why are they targeting LGBTQ kids?

They are targeting LGBTQ kids because it is no longer socially acceptable to target people of color and women [as openly or as loudly.]

Instead, Florida is offering to let anyone be a "White Privilege Pride" card-carrying GOP member in good standing, and you get to have exclusivity to state legislated hate as long as you support DeSantis, swear your allegiance to his party of thieves and liars and kill the gay kids.

Marketing to the "exclusivity" of state-sanctioned hate by defining it as "parental rights" is dirty and uses some pretty advanced marketing tactics.

Marketing to the "exclusivity" of this law elicits many other psychological rewards, including a sense of belonging and importance. Which we know is the driving force behind the Trump movement. Fear and bigotry equal power. They have nothing else.

If you take away their fear and bigotry, what is left?

What about the parents of gay children, that are gay and have gay people in them? The vagueness of this law means it was intended to confuse, disrupt and open the courthouses to litigation to sort it all out.

What a colossal waste of money, time, and resources when Florida has real problems.

Both Trump and DeSantis have mastered the barkers of old from the Wild West days. They've taken an elected office and turned it into a reality show bit that has morphed into a lucrative, grifting machine money maker.

A Grifting Machine that is stripping Americans of rights while it increases their War Chest. That means the amount of money they have to fund their campaigns of lies and spreading false information is being paid for by the Americans that they are warring against and lying against.

There is something seriously wrong here.

Ron DeSantis is selling "'exclusivity' in the form of parental rights to state-sanctioned hate." Bringing a sense of belonging to like-minded people, empowering them to hate, and fear what doesn't exist.

Ron DeSantis has drawn a target on the backs of children all over the state of Florida and, in fact, all over our country because this sickness is more contagious than any disease we’ve ever seen. Children will die. That's not an exaggeration. It's a fact.

Children will die. Teachers are the primary source of support for many children, and he's made teachers a target and taken away support for many kids who have so little.

There is nothing like a politician screwing over teachers, students, and parents without ever spending a moment inside a real classroom.

Children will die, and he won't get the blame — officially. But I blame him, and so should you. He doesn't have to be holding the gun to be held responsible. He's a graduate of Harvard and Yale. He is very aware of what he's doing, and he doesn't give a shit!

How we respond is IMPORTANT.

This Study found that if LGBTQ students experienced the same levels of support and safety at school, disparities would disappear or greatly diminish.

The answer is so simple if we support all students EQUALLY at school, all inequalities will be reduced. WOW! And I didn't need to go to Harvard or Yale to find this little bit of information.

Being a kid is hard! When you see legislators and state representatives standing at a podium and proudly proclaiming how they are hurting kids — no matter how much support they appear to have. They are WRONG, and you need to look deeper!

If they are willing to hurt kids in front of you, what are they doing behind your back? What are they hiding?

Remember, these are elected officials, they work for the people. We are not their underlings. We are their constituents, not their slaves [yet].

What we do about it matters!
