I typically write about different scams on my blog grndly.com, but I must share my findings regarding Paid2Play on this platform as well.
I have been scammed so much in my youth that I notice the signs of a scam more easily than others.
Its a gift.š
My Story
The very first time I was scammed out of $20 was when I was a young adult. I was looking for ways to supplement my income and came across this column in the newspaper that said that I could make 100ās of dollars on the side by stuffing envelopes!
OMG I WAS SO HYPED
All I had to do was send them $20 and they would send me all the materials I needed to get started.
So thatās exactly what I did.
The next week, I received a package. I could feel the chills climbing up my spine as I carefully opened up my package! I had finally found a way to make some extra money and I was going to be rich!
Or so I thought.
What I got was a document with a list of names and addresses, full of naĆÆve people like myself, and a letter that explained to me how I can scam them the exact same way that I was!
They provided the script and all.
That was the spiel. My envelope stuffing included pitching the same nonsense to others that I was pitched.
š
Its the disappointment for me.

My friends story
I recently received a text from a good friend about a great opportunity to make some quick and easy cash online completing surveys. The company was Paid2Play.
She said the following:
- It pays up tp $43 per survey
- It pays a $20 sign on bonus
- Sheās already made over $200 in a short period of time ā Iām talking a few days
Girl please! There is no way that this is legit! ā This was my very first thought when I received her text.
Now I have been completing surveys throughout the years for cash, but I have never been paid so much in so little time.
š©š©š©
So my Spidey senses are tingling now and I asked her the following questions:
- Have you researched the company?
- What does the reviews look like?
- Have you gotten paid yet?
Nope, she hadnāt researched the company. Nope, she hadnāt looked at any reviews. annnnd, NOPE, she had not gotten paid a dimeā¦.yet.
And she is still waiting to get paid!
Why Paid2Play is a scam
If you google them, you will see they have tons of recent reviews on Trustpilot, from people who just signed up. All of the reviews are very recent, Iām talking within minutes of signing up.
Plus, they are being redirected from the website. This tells me that those people are being āpaidā to leave these comments without even fully testing the program out yet.

The everyday person would see this and sign up because it seems trustworthy.

Also, before you can ācash outā you need to have several people to sign up under your āaffiliate linkā. Once you have enough people, you have to wait 28 days to get approved to get your money.

YIKES
Be careful out here yāall!
Legit ways to make money online completing surveys
These are surveys and opportunities that I have personally used for gift cards or PayPal pay outs. and its legit! No, its not paying out hundreds of dollars a survey, but it all adds up over time.
There are legit ways to make money online and Paid2Play is not one of them.
- Survey Junkie ā 100 survey points equal $1, cash out at 500 points, thatās $5!

I havenāt been as consistent with these sites as I should, but they are definitely my go to when I need a few extra coins.
Cashback is just as good as cash in hand!

- Swagbucks
- Ibotta ā Great for cash back on groceries! Youāll get $5 when you submit your first receipt and can cash out at $20 .

I just recently signed up with these myself and I am already getting cashback and I love it.
Final Thoughts
If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
