Why You Should Stop Being Afraid and Start Making More Mistakes

Mistakes are not a bad part of our life. They are just a part of it.

From the very childhood, my parents told me, “Don’t run so fast because you might fall. Don’t touch it because you might get hurt.” As I got older, I already knew many things that I should not do because it is wrong. In the end, these are mistakes.

When I start a sport that is new to me, I cannot do it without mistakes. In practice, I do something wrong, but I do something good either. This rule works everywhere in our lives.

When I was in my early twenties, I was pretty much afraid of mistakes. It was scary to take the wrong step. Then, I thought my friends would think I was a fool if I was mistaken.

Later, as I got older, I got a job for which I had no experience. I can’t tell you how afraid I was then. Then, I thought that every movement could be disastrous. Now I believe this was the biggest mistake of my life. The best things are just about happening.

I noticed I needed to do something. Otherwise, I wouldn’t get experience. At that moment, I felt pins and needles. I started making mistakes, and my colleagues helped me. They gave me advice, explained, and just supported me. And it all began when I ceased to be afraid and made mistakes.

Now I’m convinced that if I didn’t dare to take the first step, I probably wouldn’t budge. I accept mistakes are not a bad part of our life. They are just a part of it.

I hope you enjoyed reading this
