Why Medium Writers Should Write For Vocal Media
Vocal media pays out amazing bonuses
You heard the saying, “ Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” That goes for writing. If you want to make money as a blogger, consider Vocal Media — one of the biggest sites on the internet.
I started with Vocal Media a few months ago and found out that their bonus programs are a big deal with writers.
Above here are my recent earnings after publishing 10 articles.

First, before I begin, let’s get to some basics. If you publish on Vocal Media, you have to write at least 600 words. Anything shorter won’t be published.
There is a way around this, though. If you are a poet or an aspiring poet, your poems can be as low as 100 words. Hold that thought since this is important when it comes to waiting for those amazing bonus dollars.
You also get full rights to your works on Vocal Media and can republish on medium. Just make sure that you state that this article was previously published on Vocal Media. Add additional content just to ensure it gets accepted by the moderators. Or you can do the opposite — publish on Vocal Media and self-publish on medium. Just include the Vocal Media link.
Yes, those moderators are a big deal on Vocal Media. Your article won’t be published right away as it needs to be approved first by the moderators. My article finally got published after 3 days of waiting. While you are waiting, write more articles to add to your writing vault. I actually sent in an email inquiring about the status of my article. Vocal media responded back and I believe lots of articles don’t get approved fast on the weekend. Just be patient. If you are confident that your article won’t be flagged for reasons such as plagiarism, swearing, racism, or other community violation, then your article will eventually be published.
I am also an aspiring fiction writer. If you have never written fiction before, Vocal Media has plenty of challenges and contests that will fix writer’s block for good. Thanks to these challenges, I wrote several short stories that make me feel pleased. You also have a chance to win amazing prize money. Even if you don’t win, you can study the winner’s story and learn from the best of the best. It sure is cheaper than writing school.
In a nutshell, here are some bonuses you can get for writing on Vocal Media: (as of this writing, this is the information I have located, but bonuses can change at any time.) I have received several bonuses already for publishing 5 stories, then 10 stories, and hearting 15 stories.
- $5 bonus for the 5th published piece.
- $10 bonus for 10th published piece.
- $50 bonus for the 50th published piece.
- $5 bonus for hearting/liking 15 stories by other creators.
- $5 bonus for the “Top Story”
- $5 bonus for an awesome story
- $5 bonus for reaching 1000 views
- Bonus for challenge wins
- Bonus for tipping other creators
- Bonus for reaching 10,000 views.
- $20 per referral
Pretty soon your bonuses and other cash incentives will pay for the cost of your Vocal Membership fee!
You also don’t need to get 100 followers to start earning money on Vocal Media. If you are worried about the prospect of writing 600 words to get published, try your hand at writing poetry. If you write 50 poems at 100 words each, and it gets published, you will get a $50 bonus. If you are a songwriter, this is where you can publish your songs in poetry forms. Imagine publishing 50 articles or poems over several weeks and getting $50 in one month!
Vocal Media is a site for fiction, nonfiction writers, and poets. Although I like medium, I also write on Vocal Media where I have published several short stories. I am aiming to write poetry this year.
