At first, I was excited, but this feature is useless for writers for one reason. Most of the writers are using tipping features along with the Medium Membership reference which is making the tipping feature less attractive.

Use either the promotional feature or reference feature one at a time and this will help the User in gaining more subscribers or tipping members from their stories.
