I already wrote about Medium’s status as a social media platform and what that means for the site itself. Today I want to focus more on the reason why I love Medium so much and why I consider it my favorite.

Medium’s community is truly remarkable.

I feel safe to say I have never encountered a more helpful and open community.

Which is a rarety in social media really. There are hate posts on Facebook, mean comments on Instagram and Tiktok, whole fights on Reddit about the most mundane things, and don’t get me started on Twitter. Trolls, Haters, and Idiots are everywhere, unfortunately. And while Medium is not free of them either, they seem drastically in the minority on here. On Medium everyone is so nice.

I get that a lot of people find the Follow4Follow posts annoying but they bring results and are a testament to just how willing the community is to help each other out. This leads to the other thing that really stuck out to me, in the beginning: the amount of shared information.
