Why Medium is like Yoga to me
It helps me stay calm and breathe easy

Have you even seen those before and after infomercials where a character talks about a product and how it changed his/her life? Well, it goes something like this — “Hi viewers (really means to say hello to all the silly fellows who believe anything that they read or see or hear), six months back I was a lonely fat person but after I started using this amazing product, I have reduced my weight, toned up and I am dating also now.” That for me is a before and after infomercial. I am sorry if the technical term for this kind of advertisement is something else.
Medium is like this miraculous product for me. Only, it helped me calm down, breathe clean, uncomplicated air and gave me a platform to write the way I love to write, without being judged. I don’t have to maintain a blog with unpublished articles anymore. I don’t have to write in a journal and think of a zillion odd places to hide it in. Medium gives my the much-needed anonymity and the freedom to just be.
At the same time, I get to read and comment on a public platform, without expecting a backlash. Now, i can comment without being worried that my relatives or friends will call me up to find out why i wrote that or why i appreciated that post.
All the inner peace material I ever looked for, is all available on Medium so I don’t really bother with the Tree pose anymore. What about you? Found it yet? The sanctum for all things uncomplicated….?
