1. Mantles Trigger Battles

For every calling, there are many physical distractions to overcome and for every mantle, there are many spiritual battles that must be fought to keep it.

A calling is the tools given to you to walk out your assignment or mission on earth. They are your God-given gifts — your anointing, talents, abilities, intelligence, and spirituality — given to you for the benefit of all people. An anointing is an out-pour of the spirit of God unto a person to enable them to be able to bring about the will of God on earth. A mantle is a metaphor for a calling or anointing given to people for much greater purposes. A distraction is a person, place, or thing that serves to take your attention off of your calling, and a battle is a fight.

When there’s a calling, there are people and things to distract you from the calling. Mantles are given to people and demons are assigned to take those mantles.

When you feel a spiritual or demonic attack, it’s not an attack on you. It’s an attack to take what's inside of you.

Joseph in the Bible had a mantle, and Potiphar’s wife was sent after it. Elijah had a mantle too and Jezebel was sent to take it. Samson also had his own mantle and Delilah was successful in taking it from him.

When you’re given the mantle, there will be someone sent to take it. This is why you need to train to fight.

II. Training For Battle

When God calls you, the next thing he does is to not reveal to you where he’s taking you. There’s a plan, but you're not shown the whole plan. You're not told everything. When God calls you, he reveals himself first.

He asks you to follow him.

When Jesus called his disciples to follow him, they followed him and learned from him for three years because they were given their assignments. They watched and heard Him teach about the Kingdom of God and witnessed many miracles. They experienced God first. They learned and trained before they were given work.

Before you reach higher heights, you learn and train for the struggles you’ll face on the journey. It is for this reason that God calls and hides you from the world. It's why it feels like you're in a void. The void trains and prepares you.

You will not be lifted up to higher heights when it can reveal your anointing too soon and trigger attacks. You will not get the leadership role or the influence you ask for because the all-seeing eye of God sees the influence you will make and also the effect of the attacks that will come. You won’t be given something that will harm you. Without knowledge, wisdom, and training, you would be set to fail.

You first learn and train to build the stamina to endure the attacks and protect your calling.

III. Keeping The Mantle

Becoming successful is the easiest part of success. Maintaining success is so much harder. Being honored by God is easy, but the ability to retain that honor is not.

When God wants to raise you to be a leader, the first thing he gives you is not a mantle. He first gives you a deep experience of him. He asks you to let his spirit in and then he draws close to you and reveals himself to you.

The Spirit of God in you teaches you all things.

You will learn that you’ll face opposition so you won’t be worried when you’re facing them. And when you face attacks, you will understand what’s going on and know how to handle it.

The Spirit of God will help you protect your destiny. With wisdom, it preserves your anointing, guards your mantles, and helps you develop your spiritual gifts as they’re given to you to give to humanity.

Life will become extremely difficult the moment God calls you, but when you get to understand why certain things are happening and allow yourself to be taught and strengthened, you will know just how to spot the attacks in their tracks. You will encounter spirits and souls who will seek to take or destroy it, but you will know how to defend yourself.

The wilderness will get you away from the world to strengthen you and connect you to the spiritual realm so you can see beyond what your physical eyes can see.

It’s not easy, but it strengthens you.

Life may be difficult because of who you are and what you have. You're destined to bring light unto the world and fill the hearts of men with love. You carry something valuable and that’s your heart, so guard it with your life for everything you do flows from it.
