Why learning to organise is very important and what to do

I am a very chaotic person. I always have been. And I always will be, I think.

Because of personal issues. I’m in a hard time right now and that makes me a bit scared in life, but I know it also makes me very strong. There are a few tools to get more organised and be more productive, be satisfied to accomplish your goals (which I never had).

Now I have children, the more I realise I have to be organised, give them the structure they need. They do what parents do. They’re a copycat. So, I have to give the right example, isn’t it?

I always knew it, but the practice was much more different. I have had too much negative thought on my mind. I really wanted to be more organised in my life, but I was also into a bubble of how to survive my life. I thought about my past too much. Since a few years, I’m aware of it. And little by little bit I’m picking up the pieces through therapy. Because of the circumstances, I haven’t had space in my mind to have my own structure in ly life. My thoughts and mind were somewhere else. Thoughts in my mind could be: “Why did my classmates bully me? What did I do wrong? Did I had to behave differently?”. All those thoughts were overloading my mind. But I am learning to organise.

Now I want to give more and better structure to my children and myself as well to get a healthier lifestyle, give my daughters a future I never had.

Why is it important to have a structure in life and how to organise?

Before I answer this question I have to say I tried doing lots of things to have a structure in life and to be organised. To this point in my life, nothing worked at all. I tried, I really did. And I wasn’t ready for it I think.

I also want to be free. And at the same time, I don't know what it is to be free. How do you know when you’re free? How does freedom feel like? Little by little I understand. What helps: talking and writing what’s on your mind with whom you trust.

To answer this question…

Organising is important to get structure in your life, your mind and the people around you. When you have your own structure, people around you — in my case my children — will copy what I am doing. Other thing is, you’ll know exactly what, when, where and how to do your things. It also created happiness, thus you’re in peace with your mind. People around you will notice that!

Tools to get organised

There are tools to learn to organise:

  • use apps on your phone that help you plan your tasks you will actually keep up your tasks
  • plan and do one task per day
  • plan one nice thing per day to do for yourself
  • plan two breaks with tea and/or coffee and your favourite cookie
