Summary

The provided web content discusses the controversial practice of male genital mutilation (MGM), arguing that it is a legally sanctioned form of mutilation akin to female genital mutilation (FGM), both rooted in religious traditions, and advocates for its end.

Abstract

The article "MGM—Male Genital Mutilation" on the undefined website addresses the legal and ethical issues surrounding the practice of circumcision on male infants, which the author equates with the more widely condemned practice of female genital mutilation (FGM). It highlights the historical and religious origins of MGM, the risks associated with the procedure, and the financial incentives for hospitals to continue performing circumcisions. The author, Keith Michael, criticizes the hypocrisy of societies that outlaw FGM but allow MGM, and he points out the barbaric nature of the practice, which is often justified by false health benefits. The article calls for an end to MGM, framing it as a human rights violation rather than a healthcare choice, and suggests that a class-action lawsuit might be a way to halt the practice.

Opinions

  • The author believes that MGM is a human rights violation and should be considered as morally reprehensible as FGM.
  • The article suggests that the continuation of MGM is driven by religious cultural practices and the financial incentives of the cosmetics industry, which uses foreskins in its products.
  • It is argued that the risks of circumcision, including death, are not adequately disclosed to parents, and the procedure is often performed without proper anesthetic.
  • The author criticizes religious texts and traditions for promoting MGM and calls for a reevaluation of these practices.
  • The author advocates for the rights of the child and argues that no parent should have the right to mutilate their child's genitalia for cultural or religious reasons.
  • The article expresses hope that with increased awareness and possibly legal action, the practice of MGM will decline.

Why Is It Legal To Mutilate Male Genitals?

Why the Brutal Practice of Circumcision Needs to End

Some of you reading this right now are chuckling or even outright laughing. You think it’s funny. I assure you it’s not funny and that I’m dead serious.

So let’s flip the gender for just a moment and see how funny you think this really is.

In about half of the nations on Earth, it is legal to mutilate the genitalia of little girls. The practice is typically referred to as FGM.

What Is FGM?

Most people do not know what FGM even is. FGM or “Female Genital Mutilation” is a barbaric, culturally backward practice rooted in archaic patriarchal cultures. It can be found in mostly Islamic nations, but it is also practiced in Pagan (non-Jewish/Gentile, Sectarian) cultures as well. The practice has been banned in nearly every civilized nation in the modern world. But not everywhere. Even in the U.S., there are 8 states that allow the parents of little girls to mutilate their child’s genitals without legal repercussion.

In FGM, the parents of a little girl, typically a girl who has reached the age of 5 to 8 or before puberty, will force her to undergo a horrific “healthcare” procedure where the girl’s clitoris is cut off and her labia cut and then sewn mostly closed. This is often done at home, without the use of a medical doctor, but by someone called a “circumciser”. The common tools of this practice are little more than a razor blade, and needle and thread.

FGM has its roots in patriarchal religious cultures that demand that a woman be a virgin before marriage.

The whole reason for the procedure is to ensure that the girl isn’t promiscuous as a teen and remains a virgin until her wedding night. On her wedding night, her husband will then slice open her labia and then have sex with his virgin bride. But with her clitoris long since removed, the now young woman has lost a huge part of her ability to orgasm.

Because FGM has been mostly outlawed in the modern world, parents still bent on the religious practice will “vacation” the family to an Islamic nation where the practice is legal and then inflict this barbarism onto their pre-teen daughters.

Practitioners of this barbaric ritual say that they have the religious right to mutilate the genitalia of their daughters.

But do they? Really?

Circumcision—The Legal Genital Mutilation

While the practice of FGM continues to decline, becoming illegal in more and more nations, the other form of genital mutilation continues to be not just legal, but encouraged, and for the same moronic reasons as FGM, it’s a religious custom being promoted under the guise of “healthcare”.

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, have all been practicing male genital mutilation, aka. “Circumcision”, for millennia.

While the idea of FGM has just made you sick to your stomach and left some of you with righteous indignation or even outright anger over the mutilating of little girls—ask yourself, why aren’t you just as angered by little boys having part of their genitals cut off as well?

If you were born before 2000 in the USA, there is perhaps a 95% chance that you were circumcised at the request of your parents. Doctors and hospitals even before the 1970s all but routinely cut off a male infant’s foreskin because, well, that’s just what was done. It was considered “current” modern medicine.

The Risks of MGM / Circumcision

New parents in the hospital are not presented with the fact that MGM is a human rights violation. The hospital just asks them if they want their son circumcised, like it’s a mere cosmetic or health thing; it doesn’t tell them anything about how it takes place or the actual violence that is involved.

There is violence involved with MGM, violence that none of us remembers of course. We don’t remember being strapped to a Circumstraint when we’re just a few hours old, while part of our genitalia is cut off, often without any anesthetic.

What the hospital also never tells us is that there are risks involved with MGM. While small, there is 1 infant death associated with MGM per 49,000± on whom the optional “procedure” in inflicted.

The Big Business of Foreskins

Perhaps not so surprising, the hospital that cuts off your infant son’s foreskin doesn’t always just throw it away as medical waste.

It is sold.

Along with with hundreds of others each week, depending on the size of the medical facility and which corporation is interested in purchasing them.

While some of the foreskins are used in medical research, perhaps the vast majority are sold to cosmetics manufacturers, for thousands of dollars paid per foreskin.

Oprah has touted manufacturers who use infant foreskins in their products as well.

So the hospital is both charging you for the procedure and then selling the product to a cosmetics manufacture for 10x to 100x what you were billed.

Did the hospital tell you they were in the business of harvesting your son’s flesh to sell? Of course not. This practice in and of itself should be illegal.

But somehow it’s not.

Where Did the Practice of Circumcision Come From?

The modern practice of cutting off part of your son’s genitalia has been inherited from ancient practices dating back to Biblical eras, perhaps as far back as 1,500 BCE.

According to the Jewish Tanakh (what Christians call the Old Testament) the Hebrew God commanded the cutting off of infant male foreskins as a sign that the Hebrews were set apart from their Pagan (non-Jewish) neighbors.

The Old Testament is rife with stories of Biblical heroes being circumcised and also collecting the foreskins of their dead enemies.

It is without question utter nonsense that GOD would have demanded such a barbaric practice. While this same God demanded that “you shall not cut your bodies” for religious purposes, this same God then does a complete hypocritical 180 and demands that infants need to be “cut” for religious purposes.

Perhaps the biggest reason why this barbaric practice continues into the modern era is Jews, Christians, and Muslims, are all taught that this is something that God wanted—and all of it stems from the practice being written into our various holy books, the Tanakh (Old Testament) and the Quran.

Because we are taught by our various churches, synagogues, and mosques, that our various holy books are without error and directly inspired of God, no one sits up and questions this so-called authority. It is ONLY man-made unholy tradition that demands these barbaric passages are somehow inspired of GOD.

It’s time we unloaded these stupid man-made traditions that masquerade as the “Word of God”.

The Excuses For Continuing the Barbarism

Of course, the practitioners of this barbaric practice continue to extol the assumed virtues of being “circumcised”. We’re fed bullshit excuses like, “it’s a matter of cleanliness” or “it prevents infection” when literally half the male population on the planet is unbrutalized, uncircumcised, and suffers no issues for remaining the way both GOD and Nature originally built us.

But perhaps the most egregious excuse is—“It’s healthcare.”

Bullshit.

Hospitals with maternity wards specifically are perhaps the most guilty of having a massive conflict of interest. The medical community continues to promote this barbaric practice as “healthcare” for no other reason than they make hundreds of millions of dollars annually from promoting the practice.

It’s Time To End The Practice of MGM

According to the MAYO Clinic and CDCs, MGM (Circumcision) has been on a slow decline over the past decade within the US. 20 years ago, the better part of 80% of males had been mutilated. Now that figure has fallen to just a little more than 50% of males being mutilated as infants.

Within the UK, fewer than 9% of infants to young boys are mutilated.

Culture indeed plays the biggest role in MGM continuing as a practice.

While only some 44% of Hispanic male infants are being mutilated, as much as 65% of White and Black populations endure the practice. On the other hand, Islamic populations claim a near 100% mutilation rate.

With more awareness, these trends will hopefully continue to decline.

But culture is a stubborn thing to overcome.

Anecdotally, I became aware of a couple who had decided not to mutilate their infant son—until the overbearing Christian mother-in-law stepped into their decision with all manner of hellfire and brimstone! “How could [they] not circumcise [her] grandson?!” It’s what her generation did! Do you want to send the poor boy to hell?! “He’ll look different than you!” And on and on went the typical excuses for mutilating someone else’s genitals.

This is the kind of cultural nonsense our parents and grandparents were raised with and continue to promote.

In the end, this couple ended up mutilating their infant son because of the barbaric and moronic culture of “grandma”.

Being born in the 1960’s I was, of course, mutilated against my will as an infant with no voice to demand otherwise. I wish I had the power to sue the hospital who mutilated me, but that is just what was done in those days.

I have a son. Both my wife and I agreed early on that we would not mutilate him for the sake of some moronic religious tradition. My nephew is also “un-cut” as they say. But most of us were not spared from this culture-driven horror.

A Class-action Lawsuit?

Perhaps what is needed is a massive class-action lawsuit against every hospital in the US to prevent this practice from continuing. I don’t know.

But if you’re an attorney willing to take on the case, contact me and a hundred million of my best friends will join you. It will be the biggest medical-malpractice class-action in the history of the US.

I’m dead serious here.

Conclusion

The ONLY reason this barbaric practice continues is because of bullshit religious culture and the fact that foreskins are big business within the trillion dollar cosmetics industry.

The practice of Male Genital Mutilation needs to end.

As a political Libertarian, I am all for parental rights. But NO parent should have the right to mutilate the genitalia of their sons and daughters—especially for moronic religious tradition.

FGM and MGM are not “healthcare”. They are barbaric religious customs that need to finally come to an end once and for all.
