Why I’m Starting a Zettelkasten

And why you should, too.

I first heard of a Zettelkasten from Eva Keiffenheim in this article. I promptly read it, and her other articles, and the articles she linked to.

I bought an e-book on using a Digital Zettelkasten and read the whole thing while trapped on an 8-hour flight. I bought another book in paperback which hasn’t arrived yet.

As you might guess from that, I read a lot. On average, at least one book a week and many more research articles.

Trying to keep all those thoughts straight in my head is HARD! Especially if I don’t need just the general idea but an exact quote.

A zettelkasten is a way to organize the important thoughts you read and find what you want and other related things.

Save time. Think better. Zettelkasten!
