Why I Write in Crows Feet
No, it is not for the money.
It is certainly not for the money. I make pennies for my articles, sometimes nothing.
Just words, whistling in the wind.
Older generations are the focus of Crow’s Feet. At age 96, I knew I was qualified.
Having hammered out eight articles in Crow’s Feet plus more elsewhere, I knew this was home for me.
When I need help, editors, including Nancy Peckenham and Ann Litts, can lend me a hand. They helped me smooth out some rough spots.
Crow's Feet publishes in a hurry. Speed is of terrific value to writers.
This writer does not wish to wait to see if an editor likes my stuff well enough to publish.
This may sound like an ego trip, and it is, but I like to see my name in print.
For example, today, I submitted a piece to Crow’s Feet in the morning then left my senior home for a noon meeting. When I returned, I needed to change clothes, get redressed and hang up my meeting clothes.
I was anxious to see the computer and see if my article was published but I resolved to finish my undressing and redressing before looking at the computer screen.
Discipline is the dominant reason I write in Crow’s Feet.
My goal is to write daily and submit frequently. It takes self-discipline to do this work.
I must prove to myself I have the determination to achieve my goals.
I also wish my many followers would read my articles, joining the few.
