Why I started an International News Organization at 15 called The Climate Reporter?

Summary
The article discusses the author's motivation for starting an international news organization, The Climate Reporter, at the age of 15, focusing on climate change and the need for renewable energy sources.
Abstract
The author, Jerome Foster II, was inspired to create The Climate Reporter after witnessing numerous climate events and the lack of awareness about them, particularly in America. The publication aims to educate people about the reality of climate change and the impact of fossil fuel companies on the environment. The author highlights the need for a swift transition to renewable energy sources and the positive developments in this area, such as the increasing commercial competitiveness of renewable energy technologies and the success of countries like Paraguay, Costa Rica, Switzerland, and Sweden in operating on almost 100% renewable energy resources.
Opinions

As my life has progressed, I have a seen countless horrifying climate events that have occurred. Whether it has been the riots for clean water in Mexico, the decimation of thousands of farms in Bangladesh due to having half the year’s rainfall in 5 hours, the hundreds of earthquakes that shook Oklahoma and North Dakota due to intense natural gas drilling, and the corruption in America’s senate and congress.

The world will inevitably transition to renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines. However, it is the amount of time we take to transition to renewable energy resources that will ultimately define the human race and mark what future generations will have left after the sea levels rise and climates shift, and after all the droughts, floods, wildfires, hurricanes, and ocean acidification. After Greenland melts and Florida dissapears.

I may be painting a dark picture of the world and our future, but this is the reality and these are the facts.
The only issue about this philosophy is that most people (especially Americans) don’t know the facts. This is why I started the Climate Reporter, to educate the world about the climate reality, the ecological truth. To let the world know what people around the world are going through. How the coal, oil, and natural gas companies are decimating entire ecosystems. We must not allow the fossil fuels companies to “manipulate and dictate the science and technologies that effect our future.”-Leonardo DiCaprio. I do not create this publication in efforts to create contraversy, but in efforts to paint a clear picture of the events that are affecting our climate and our children, both good and bad.

On the other hand, the status of the world is not all bad. Around the world we are seeing renewable energy technologies becoming ever increasingly commercially competitive with fossil fuel resources. In Paraguay, Costa Rica, Switzerland, and Sweden they are operating on almost 100% renewable energy resources.

In the United Arab Emirates, you can produce more power by covering the ground in solar panels than in blowing-it-up to produce oil. And this is in the Persian Gulf, imagine the effect this would have in other parts of the world.

In China, citizens are able to monitor the hourly output of all of the fossil fuel factories in the country. What was seen is that over 9,000 factories in China were not following regulations set by the government. This app has stopped fossil fuel companies from operating in the dark.
There are several solutions to the climate crisis, we just need to have the political will to inact those solutions or convince Congress to do so.
I speak for that which cannot speak against those who do unspeakable things.
