Why I Show Up Every Day

Why do you do it?

Photo by Glenn Carstens-Peters on Unsplash

The first thing I do,

As I log in to work,

Is to open the Medium tab,

Why do I do it so religiously though?

To check my daily earnings?

Yes, of course!

To study the story stats?

Yeah, sure!

To write and post new pieces?

Duh, obviously!

But more than any of those,

I’m most excited to consume the variety of content here.

The enlightening and insightful stories by Dr. Preeti Singh,

The beautiful haikus by Melanie J.,

For my daily dose of humor from Bhavna Narula,

To learn the art of healing from Trista Signe Ainsworth,

For the heartfelt poems by Dr. Fatima Imam,

To see if any new challenges have been thrown my way by Sahil Patel.

To learn about the dos and dont’s of Medium from Dr Mehmet Yildiz, Bill Abbate, and Terry Mansfield,

To read inspiring bios and virtually meet and bond with people from across the world via About Me Stories.

For contributing my poems, travel tales, and anything that I write,

To amazing pubs like ILLUMINATION, Moon Light Confessions, Poetry’s Home, Cutting Chai, The Haven, and many more.

I’ve found my motivation to be consistent and show up,

What’s your reason to open Medium every day?

Why do you do it?

Thank you for reading. If you liked that piece, you might also enjoy:
