If you have been reading around Medium, I bet you have encountered many Writing Tips to get instant success. Well, if this helps, here you go.

I have seen articles that go from “the more you write, the longer the word count is so you will have more reading time”. Is this totally correct? I think it depends on what you are writing about and what your target audience is.

It could be even more difficult to acquire detailed data if you are like me, and right literally about whatever comes to my mind. So how do I evaluate this?

Here is my trick.

I write what I would like to read, the subjects can vary. And most importantly, I prepare the articles to the length I would like to read other pieces of other writers, not just mine. I tend to read articles all the way through but my mind can wander off pretty easily if they are on the long side so capturing my attention is a must.

That is why I prefer to have five-minute articles or less. The average time for my pieces is literally two minutes. Quick and I hope impactful writings.

So this is my advice for you. Write what you would like to read. Write the amount you would comfortably read from others.

Why write 20-minute articles if you only like to read Haikus? Both sides have to have similar attributes.

There is so much to say, and I know you get me but anything can be condensed. Sometimes you just want to write a small Choka and on other days, an essay of some important news. That’s one of the benefits of having various niches, you can write your mind off. Just remember this tip.
