Why I Am Coming Back to Winning after Losing

A testimony

John Mark Arnold

We can all make mistakes, and I’m not one to say I’ve never done any.

It’s okay to show our weaknesses and share our wins. Both go hand in hand, and there’s no amount of energy in the world that can change that.

I’ve learned from these experiences.

Quite a lot, even, judging by the person I was and the one I became. From douchebag to who I am today is a long way with hard lessons I’d like to share.

It’s not going to help you take shortcuts.

There’s no avoiding the pain; we all have to go through it to grow stronger and come back with an understanding of how the world works. The bad is inside us — each of us. You can hide from it, but that’s not going to help you in the end when the time to balance the books arrive.

Still, reading about other people’s experiences gives us some insights. It helps build our path, and maybe, if we’re lucky, get further on the way of personal development.

That’s my goal with this text.

It’s not to expose myself. It’s not to show off. But to contribute and help us all make a small step forward. Oh, not a giant leap for sure. But who can claim such a feat? It’s only the little steps that we can manage. It’s only them that count actually because it’s only the little steps we can understand.

Our brains can’t grasp the big concepts, the giant leaps. It all takes time for us to move and grow. We wish we could do it from one day to another, don’t we?

Look at all the geopolitics battlefields based on this crazy assumption.

But we can’t. We know we can’t. Even children understand it takes time to grow taller than their parents. They might be impatient about it or underestimating the time needed, but they know it won’t be from one minute to another.

So I take the time. Same as the stock markets for the financially inclined among us. We don’t do day trading when we want to participate in a company’s future; we invest long-term.

That’s life. It’s tough, but it’s also beautiful.

If you’re anything like me, you will need time to understand it. But after my micro-dosing ayahuasca experience last year, now that I’m 22 years old, I see these things. I understand them.

We’re all part of one ultimate quantum being of love.

We’re a community of shared values and awesomeness. I’m not asking you to join me because we’re already in this together. Maybe you don’t know it yet, but you’ve already subscribed to my newsletter and used my referral link to get a full membership. You even bought me an ayahuasca-charged coffee.

Bless you. Bless us.
