The author acknowledges that not every day yields the same amount of work, attributing this to a variety of reasons. These include days when the workload seems insurmountable, leading to extended time on tasks. Distractions, particularly from social media, also play a significant role in reducing productivity. The author admits to sometimes focusing too much on perfecting a task, causing neglect of other priorities. Unexpected personal events can disrupt planned schedules, and a lack of motivation can result in procrastination of tasks deemed postponable. Why I Accomplish Less on Some Days

What’s affecting my productivity

Have you ever realised we do not accomplish the same amount of work daily?

I do, and I analysed why that is so. I could think of a few reasons and wonder if you feel that way also.

1. Feeling overwhelmed

Some days I feel that I have many things to do, and the time taken for each task seems to take longer than expected.

2. Distractions

I am not so disciplined on some days, and I get distracted by many updates on social media and other activities.

3. Perfectionism

Sometimes I used too much time on a specific task, and I forget about other priorities

4. Unexpected events

Sometimes, things go wrong in the house, or somebody in my family needs help, which disrupts my schedule.

5. Lack of motivation

There may be tasks that I am reluctant to do, thinking I can carry them forward to another day

For all the above reasons, be they right or wrong, I may not accomplish much on certain days.

I guess I have to work hard on other days!
