Summary

The website content discusses the loss of trust in government and institutions, the need for radical change, and the importance of citizens taking responsibility for the government's direction amidst a growing national debt.

Abstract

The article "Why Do You Care Who Is In Government?" addresses the widespread mistrust in both major political parties in the United States, attributing this to a perception that both are progressive and power-hungry, leading to social unrest reminiscent of the 1960s. It emphasizes that the government is not adhering to the laws it is supposed to

Why Do You Care Who Is In Government?

This is about how we have been reduced to throwing Moral rocks at each other and, how we need to pull together to stop what is happening.

Both government Parties are Progressive, they don’t care about anyone or anything except POWER. On the other side, people’s contempt for established power and institutions is at an all-time high. The result is, that our trust in all of them is gone and our shared values of honesty, reliability, and cooperativeness character traits, are cracking with wide chasms of mistrust. The result? Social unrest, like we saw in the 1960s. People invading street blocks or buildings they can control.

Our government is NOT working the way it was designed. It does not matter who is in charge, they are not following the LAWS that govern them.

The result is governments have abused their powers so badly, that the people no longer trust either, the Republican or the Democrat parties. The people that vote for Trump did not vote Republican, they voted for RADICAL CHANGE. The Republicans called them RINOS (Republicans In Name Only). That did not work.

The result of that experiment was a deepening mistrust between the “two” sides. Ultimately, People feel there is no support system we can count on. There is no trust in our government or institutions. This coupled with the fact that we have on-line, a young generation imbued with sensitive moral values, our social trust has plummeted to depths comparable to those during the great depression. With one difference, we no longer trust each other.

Forget the government, how do we learn to trust each other again?

Why is the question important? The future of our country is in the balance. Without us, there isn’t a government that survives. If that continues, we will be in the same place the people in Germany were in 1929. We have had times of tumult, where the people were not happy with our social conditions, like in the 60s and, we were able to recover.

Our Country IS our moral fabric and WE are the moral fiber of the country.

This word, “Democracy” has been used so much lately that right now it means NOTHING. Democracy as the Greeks used it meant “ruled by the people” Demos (People), Kratos (rule). Today we rule NOTHING. We are “Being Managed,” like puppets on a string. “They Do Not Care About You” is right.

This might be true for those “who want to be taken care of.” But sitting in a corner winning about being “abandoned?” as a baby? Is not the right answer.

The American Government is OURS because the existing Constitution says so. And, until somebody comes along and takes it away from us, It is OUR responsibility to make the government MANIPULATION End. We need to turn our emotions into a feeling of indignation. We need to use this feeling as the energy needed to take ownership of the government with our carefully decided votes and work to make politicians understand that it has to work for all of us, regardless of political bias.

$30 TRILLION DOLLARS IS AN UNIMAGINABLE NUMBER!!

One of the most dangerous power plays of any of our governments is, that they borrow money at will. This ACT has one big embedded assumption in it.

“Our society is functioning and our production of goods and services are increasing.”

That assumption, today, is wrong. Our society is dissipating before our eyes. The governments are BORROWING money beyond OUR means. I say “OUR” because it is OUR money they are spending. They are spending money of generations of “citizens” that do not exist yet [1]. So far $30 Trillion. To give us perspective on the money we are talking about, that quantity stacked in $1,000 bills would be 2,036 miles long. The Continental USA is approximately 2,680 miles wide, the stack, laid in a straight line across the country would be 76% of its width. Our National debt alone is about 40% of the entire world’s combined economy. This is called A GOVERNMENT OUT OF CONTROL.

Remember 1932? Well, maybe not. READ about it? Saw the pictures of soup lines? We are now at the same place. We just don’t know it yet. To crawl out of that Reserve Bank catastrophe we went into an eventual 20 trillion dollar debt. We have never been out of debt. To repeat, there is one difference, we no longer trust each other. The most important factor for our future recovery is missing.

We have had about 13 generations of citizens since the American Revolution, (1791 to 2022) in 231 years, assuming a new generation of working citizens begins at 18 years of age. So, with interest rates included, it will take more than TWO generations of citizens, to pay for the debt, we already have.[1]

Other visualizations of the debt can be found here.

We Are Hanging by a ThreadSource-By special permission of the Artist. Not for Commercial use.

Where are WE?

We are hanging by a thread. We have been reduced to throwing moral rocks at each other. And, What will that solve? WE (the big we), are still a fragmented society with not an ounce of trust left. We do not even trust our neighbors. It is up to us to get together and fix this. It will take time.

[1]-Let’s assume we freeze government borrowing and decide to pay the debt in18 years (one generation). The federal government today takes about 4.2 trillion dollars in revenue from our workforce. An 18-year loan with a fixed 6% interest rate, requires a monthly payment of $227.45 Billion dollars a month, which is $2.729 trillion per year. The government will have to live on about 1.5 trillion per year. Not a realistic number. Let us say we do in about 2 generations, same Loan 30 years. It requires a monthly payment of $17.9 Billion dollars a month, which is 2.15 trillion dollars per year. That is still half of the annual revenue of today’s government. This debt will take more than 2 generations to pay off.
