Why Do They Prefer to Speak, More Than They Listen?

My perspective on some conversations

Have you ever had such conversations?

Your friend asked, how are your holidays? Before you answer much about your holidays, your friend tells you a lot more about their holidays.

Your friend asked, how are your children? Before you talk much about your children, your friend starts telling you many of their children’s achievements.

The question is not intended for you to reply. The question is designed to allow them to showcase or present themselves.

That’s the irony of it all. People like to talk rather than listen after asking a question.

What will I do if someone behaves like that? I let them talk. Maybe by my listening, they will feel better in their mental health.

These days, people are stressed. Just let them talk to their hearts’ delight!

With a smile, I take it friendly and easy to be the one listening.
