It acknowledges that while there is no inherent competition between the two, societal observations suggest that one often takes precedence over the other. The author reflects on personal experiences and common scenarios where individuals struggle to maintain both types of relationships simultaneously, leading to prioritization based on personal choice. The piece explores the reasons behind the difficulty in sustaining both relationships, citing jealousy, misunderstandings, and the natural progression of life as contributing factors. The author concludes with a philosophical perspective on relationships, likening them to a tree or a train, where change and impermanence are inevitable, and advises readers to embrace the transient nature of relationships rather than dwelling on their end.

  • Have you ever wondered about friendship and love relationships?
  • Are you feeling guilty about losing one of them?
  • Have you noticed the change when the other buds?
  • Have you suffered from the choice between love and friendship relations?

These are some questions — raised under the topic: “Why Do People Fail to Manage between Friendship and Love Relationship?”

I know there is no comparison between these two, but there is a battle between them in which one always wins over the other.

Why do I prefer this topic?

It is not a vague thing to discuss, but a bitter reality that is visible everywhere. You have observed — sometimes friendships win over love, and vice versa.

If not, then; you have seen some TikTok videos where a companion drops the other for a girlfriend, and sometimes a girl/boy rejects the flowers from a lover and prefers a friend. It is what I am saying. There is a possibility — both can exist together, but hard to find out. You can disagree with me.

In better words — friendship and Love relationships could not survive the same time in the same place. Otherwise, it would be like two swords in one sheath.

Why do people choose between friendship and love relationship?

Friendship and Love relations are different, but one gives for the other because of your choice. Here, the choice makes to keep priority in mind.

If you prefer love, then the friendship will die, eventually. The reason is that humans failed to manage between them both.

“Friendship marks a life even more deeply than love. Love risks degenerating into obsession, friendship is never anything but sharing.” — Elie Wiesel.

The emergence of misunderstanding, distrust, jealousy, and time leads to mismanagement. Sometimes, this tie becomes the victim of others’ misunderstanding and sometimes creates the own self.

I had a friend who quit the friendship for a love relationship. Although we lived many years together, she prefers a love relationship over a friendship relationship.

You know what, the factor behind the spill out of the friendship relationship was a misconception.

Later on, all had cleared, but her fascination with love relations spoiled a lot. It caused the breakdown of friendship.

What had I learned after a broken friendship?

After the broken friendship, I learned not to waste more time rescuing the cracked relationships. Once a mirror cracks, it will not turn up to its exact position. Why not leave these things and let them go wherever they want. Everybody sets their priorities under their taste and lifestyle, so do not drag the fragile rope.

If you are not mistaken and rejected by someone, then do not worry. The people drop you, and you lose nothing. Instead, you get from the lost relationship. It made you a pearl, whom your fellow cannot handle.

You are lucky because you dropped out of a fake hand.

Now, the question arises, how you got to know — you are right or wrong? So, the answer lies in yourself, your mind, and your heart. If you feel guilty about declining the relationship, then you might be a victim of mistrust. If your unconscious satisfies, then you are right.

Inner Satisfaction should be the priority.

I found one solution. Try to understand your value in a relationship. Give it some time. One should keep a balance between relationships.

What does a relationship mean to me?

A relationship is like a tree, which holds so many leaves together. Once a leaf rots, it falls from the tree and gets into someone’s hands. The fault is not in the branches, but is in the leaves.

Similarly, once your love or friendship relations crumble, they cannot restore.

Keep in mind; Everything has some season — after the period, it will find another place.

Enjoy your time, and do not lose heart if you are stuck in the battle of relationships. One has to win, and the other has to lose.

I recently read a story about friendship, where a writer calls relationship — a train. I will not write the exact words but explain in my words.

According to that story, a relationship is like a train filled with people. It keeps on moving, but at the stops at the station. At the station, some people go down, and new join the train.

Likewise, the situation of life acts as a station. Some people left you, and the other company you. So there is no need to worry. Nothing is permanent in life.

“Nothing is perfect. Life is messy. Relationships are complex. Outcomes are uncertain. People are irrational.” - Hugh Mackay

Take a chill pill and enjoy the life.
