Why Do People Ask These Questions When You Return from 4 Months Travel?
Two Christmas parties in two days is two too many

I wish my friends would get more creative with their questions.
I should be chuffed that they care enough to ask. Maybe it’s because I’m still feeling overwhelmed and jetlagged that I struggle to answer them.

Q: How many countries did you visit?
A: I have no idea, but I did stay in 34 places.

Q: What was the best thing that happened to you?
A: Oh geez, I dunno. I made so many lovely friends.
Q: What was the worst thing that happened to you?
A: I hurt my leg…but it’s not permanent damage.

Q: What was your favourite place? What was your least favourite place?
A: Hard to say. I loved some things about some places, but didn’t like some things about the same place. Poland was my favourite country probably because I had never been before so had no expectations. It blew me away.
My least favourite was probably Zagreb because I hurt my knee on arrival and didn’t get to see any of the city.

No one asked did you have fun… what places would you recommend…what was the scariest thing that happened to you… what did you eat…I could answer those types of questions.
The only question I could answer with certainty was “Is this really your last trip solo to Europe?” And the answer is yes. I really struggled some days doing everything myself…booking accommodation and transport on the fly…managing all those stairs with so much luggage especially when I got bronchitis and couldn’t stop coughing. That was tough!

So,my loyal readers who followed my adventures, do you have any questions that I’d love to answer?
