Why Did This Article Get No Views? I Have My Theories
Maybe there are some important lessons to be learned here
I was just looking at my stats, and there’s only one article that’s got zero views. It was published on 30th July 2021:
It was my first attempt at a WriteHere prompt, and was in response to the prompt “what does freedom mean to you?”
What followed was me taking a deep dive into my creative mind and daft sense of humor. But I also made reference to some serious points about free will.
It’s an unfocused mess, simply because I was giving myself total freedom. I could understand if it got reads and no claps. But no views at all?
My theories:
- The title isn’t good — it contains a silly insult and gives you no reason to click it
- I’d only been writing for Medium for 2 weeks at the time and didn’t have many followers
- I posted it to my own new publication which had no followers
