Why Dandelion Greens are Good for You and Your Liver
This crazy weed is associated with being pesky for lawns, but is good for you and your liver. A few years ago, I used some in a stir-fry. The next day, I was fatigued more than usual. After mentioning this to my naturopath, she told me dandelion greens detox your liver.
Benefits of Dandelion Greens:
• Cleanse your liver: potassium flushes out impurities • Chlorophyll cleanses, alkalizes, and balances • Known as a bitter herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine: supports liver health
Go out to your lawn (hopefully no harmful fertilizers), pull dandelion greens. Boil water, add dandelion leaves and sweetener. Steep. Drink. Repeat. Can use dried dandelion leaves.
Other ways to use:
• Sauté in olive oil with garlic • Use instead of spinach • Use in stir fry
