Why Can’t We Be Kind To Each Other? — Here Is My Theory
I am starting to see a sad pattern…we are getting more and more aggressive
I was walking down the street a couple of hours ago…I had a meeting with a friend.
As I walked I noticed something.
People were shouting on the street, and cars were honking.
I asked a random guy about directions (yes, I didn’t know where to go, in my hometown :) What can I say?), and he was making a rude comment.
I am sure you experienced it yourself.
People have forgotten how to be kind.
At least this is what I hope.
I mean, it is bad and very sad.
But it’s still better if we have just forgotten, and we are not refusing to be kind.
What could be worse than that?
But why is this happening? I have a theory.
We learn from each other.
We see other people being rude and we have the perception that we have to do the same.
Otherwise, we will be different, and people will not accept us as being the same as them.
And the feeling of belonging to somewhere is a basic human need.
But don’t forget, this is just a perception.
I really hope that there is a way back…
We all need kindness, we all crave it.
So start the change and be kind to others.
I will certainly do that.
