Why Balance Is a Way of Thinking?
Inspired by book ‘Never Eat Alone’ by Keith Ferrazzi
✈️ Airport syndrome
In the process of interviewing people, when they have to choose one out of many talented applicants, they imagine the following situation: “If I were stuck in an airport for a few hours (and this happens very often), would I be willing to spend that time with this person?”
🚀 To lead people you have to demonstrate your conviction.
It’s not a bad thing to have the personal courage to take up the fight, but it’s not enough. There’s a big difference between drawing attention to yourself and getting your ideas out there to change the world.
Personally, I think it also depends on the people around you. It can be easy to attract people with your looks. BUT, they are not interested in your ideas at all. You can talk to them, you can write to them, you can try to explain your thoughts. But to no avail. On the contrary, you suddenly start talking to people without expecting anything. They are interested in everything you say. They are ready to listen to you for hours. Ask you questions. To follow you on all existing social networks. To have you more in their lives. These are your fans.
You’re the ultimate expert in your field.
How can what I have said help people answer the question of who we are, where we came from, and where we are going?
🌟 Nothing is more important to a business than being able to tell a good story.
So forget about presentations with colorful slides. Once you understand what your content is all about, tell it in the form of an engaging story that will mobilize your friends and colleagues to action, awaken their fortitude and fearlessness, and give them the motivation they need.
🧑🏻🎓 Be the CEO of your life yourself.
Make events unfold in the direction you want them to. “It’s never been easier to change jobs than it is today. Yes, and yes again!” — these words written by the Keith Ferrazzi.
“Only those who are willing to do their work differently from others become famous.”
⚖️ Balance is a way of thinking.
It is as unique and unrepeatable to each person as their genetic code. Where you find joy, there is also balance. The advice: fill your life with people you love. After all, it’s not what you work on, but who you work with that matters.
Life is work and work is life. Both are impossible without people. “The most tremendous breakthrough of the 21st century will occur not in technology, but in the ever-increasing understanding and dissemination of the concept of being human,” said futurologist John Naisbitt.
If you leave your mark in life by creating a wide network of connections, it will make a big difference to your friends and family, to your company, to the city you live in, and to the world at large.
🫀 Our souls do not seek fame, comfort, wealth, or power.
Having achieved all these benefits, we create almost as many problems for ourselves as we solve with them. Our souls yearn to understand the meaning and purpose of existence; they want to be assured that by our lives we have made a difference in the world.
“Revolutions sometimes start where no one expected them, and their heroes are people no one thought they would be.”
There is only one place where we can find true peace and harmony. And that place is within us.
And most importantly: the more you give, the more you get!
