Why Are Some Teenagers So Full Of Hate?

Racism is to blame

Love and Peace without racism should be the goal.

There is a lot of hate in the world. There are people who will not accept diversity and who are racist although they may claim that they are not. Racism has been an issue in the United States for generations. People have fought and died for the sake of equal rights, but racism continues.

There are millions of teenagers who have friends of other races. They are accepting and kind to others. They are not like white supremacists who may hate or harass people of other races.

There are other teenagers who are racist. A fourteen year old white boy tried to drown a black teen recently in Massachusetts. He was indicted by a grand jury on charges of attempted murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. He was released into the custody of his father.

He had hurled racial slurs at the black boy and called him “George Floyd” before the racist attack at a pond. He had texted the victim and told him to meet him at the pond. The accused and another boy threw rocks at the victim before trying to hold him under the water until he could not breathe.

Children need to be taught that racism is bad. They may learn to be racist when they have parents who exhibit racist tendencies. They might follow what their parents teach them in their own words and actions.

If young people do not learn about racism at homes, teachers, friends, and schools can do the job.

Racism has no place in society. It is a form of injustice. It is cruel and unnecessary. Teenagers who are racist may find that they turn into criminals and ruin their lives.
