Why A Plan ‘B’ Is Extremely Important To Successful People

Even though they hope for the best, they always prepare for the worst. That means, plan B.
A contingency plan can contain:
- the second or third best ways to achieve the goals,
- alternative goals,
- buy time for tweaking at the drawing board, and/or
- ways to minimize fallout.
They use the plan B to limit crises or panic periods. It also saves them time and energy and makes transitions smoother.
Some claim that a plan B is distracting and you should just have a plan A and boldly go all in, but it’s unrealistic to expect success at everything, every time simply because you want it.
So having a backup plan, far from indicating half-heartedness, shows realistic thinking and the foresight to plan for alternatives even before the need arises.
