Life can be busy, really busy. We all have 100s of things to do, and 1000 more things we should have done!

Worries for the future, bad memories from the past, and problems in the present. Stress, stress, STRESS. Worry, worry, WORRY.

BUT, what if you brought your life back to what is happening right now, in the current moment?

Subscribe to a daily dose of simple mindfulness activities that can be done, anywhere and at anytime within 1–10 minutes.

Learn to take some much needed time out to recharge and refocus.

A Daily Dose of Mindfulness

“Meditation practice isn’t about trying to throw ourselves away and become something better. It’s about befriending (and accepting) who we are already”. — Pema Chödrön

So, why will just 30 days of being a little more mindful be a game-changer?

I often ask my students if they brushed their teeth for 2 hours once a week rather than twice a day for 1–2 minutes would it be beneficial?

Nope, your teeth would properly get damaged from an intense burst of attention and then suffer the rest of the week from neglect.

The same can be said for mindfulness. You will not reap the benefits if you do not practice consistently.

Those that say they are too busy, need to introduce the practice into their life the most!

Mindfulness can improve focus, enhance creativity, productivity, and even reduce stress. Although mindfulness is not about relaxation it can help you feel a little calmer and more self-aware.

Developing a mindful lifestyle takes time, practice and patience. Finding the time to improve our mental and physical wellbeing is unfortunately not always easy.

Throughout December 2021 I’ll be posting some daily mindful prompts that are quick, easy, and can be performed anywhere and at any time, often without anyone knowing what you are doing!

So, join me and give the #30DaysofMindfulness Challenge a go —I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what an impact being a little more mindful to self and others can have!

Share your experiences on social media and this platform, but don’t forget to tag me @TrishaDunbar so I can add you and follow your progress!

If you have any concerns regarding your mental wellbeing please seek advice from your GP or a mental health professional. Mindfulness is not for everyone if you are suffering from PTSD or a dissociation disorder please consult a medical profession. The prompts I'll be giving you are low level, simple and quick.

Trisha has a background in psychology and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). She has been practicing mindfulness for over 25 years and has been teaching it for the past decade.
