Whoever Heard of Rhyming Haiku?

I wrote them anyway and am ready to face the consequences

Written no haiku Since I can’t remember when I will start again

Now my memory Commences this very day Oh, what fun to play

Words confined to form Demand precision from me Creativity

I wrote this at 0200 on Thursday.

I’d switched off to sleep at midnight with pen and notebook standing by on my bedside table. Too hot to fall asleep, writing ideas filled my head.

On previous occasions, I deluded myself that I’d remember the words when I woke the next morning, then kick my ego for being so arrogant. This time I rose and went to my writing desk as I didn’t want to wake hubby.
