A poem about your true self

You come from a twinkle of stardust, A decedent of the heavens, Shine your light today, Do not fear the darkness, You have all the light inside.

You come as a spirit, Wrapped up in a body, Show us the way with your heart, Do not fear the path, You have all the light inside.

You come as an artist, Disguised in a career, Show us the way with your creativity, Do not fear the pen, You have all the light inside.

You come as a guide, Covered by a title, Show us the way with every step, Do not fear your wisdom, You have all the light inside.

You come as a giver, Shrouded by the fears of others, Show us the way with your gifts, Do not fear your generosity, You have all the light inside.

The calligraphy piece in the photo was one I created at the beginning of this year. It was a message to my inner self, to spread light to everyone. It warmed my heart to find it in a notebook a few days ago.

The poem speaks to all of us as creators and human beings. May we not hide, but thrive as we come out into the light. We are made of stardust, so we all deserve to shine.
