White America’s Silence On Reparations
Joe Biden loves to dish tons of money towards other groups. Why not start with the folks who built this country?
As many of you know or should know by now, Foundational Black Americans across the country are pushing to get reparations.
We’re now letting anybody talk us down; we’re not letting other groups talk us about what is rightfully owed; we’re not letting other groups try to shame us for demanding that the government do what’s right and what’s right is to give us what we’re owed.
There is a debt that has to be paid to us.
Because the negative impact of that unpaid debt has been passed down through generations repeatedly and repeatedly, and we’re suffering collectively because of that and we want what’s owed to us.
You can’t tell me that the U.S. government doesn’t have the money to do just that.
Whenever we start talking about getting reparations for Foundational Black Americans, the white supremacists starts to turn into that “friend” that you loaned money a week ago and when you ask for it he says, “Awe man, I’m sorry buddy. I’m freaking broke as a joke, no lie to you, bro. My wallet is dead, dude. I mean, it’s just filled with nothing but cobwebs and dust. Catch me next week or something. I might have it.”
That’s the type of energy we get.
But when it comes to doing things for other groups, the minute something happens to them, money starts falling out of the damn sky. The money starts growing out of trees for other groups.
We know they gave billions of dollars to the Afghan refugees a few months ago. A couple of billion to Hispanic families who were running across the border and dropping their kids off at the border — they gave some money to them.
And now recently with this whole Ukrainian thing going on right now, “Moneybagg” Joe Biden offered about 3 billion dollars to the Ukrainians and congress came back and was like that wasn’t enough, so they up that to 13 billion.
According to an article from CBS News:
Washington — The House on Wednesday passed a $1.5 trillion omnibus spending bill to keep the federal government open and provide $13.6 billion in aid for Ukraine and Eastern European countries, while $15.6 billion for the response to COVID-19 fell by the wayside as Democrats worked to pass the legislation. The defense portion of the legislation passed 361–69, while the domestic spending portion passed 260–171, with one present vote.
The Ukraine aid package went from the size of a happy meal at McDonald’s to getting the whole restaurant.
You see, when it’s other groups, especially white groups, they know how to stay on code with one another and look out for each other.
And here’s the thing, Black folks, we’re not on board with this Ukrainian thing like they want us to do.
And why should we? Why should we continue to put on the cape for everybody else while we get nothing in return?
The U.S. government wants Black folks to get on board with this thing and they dishing out tons of money yet again to other groups — how about shelling out those dollars over to us?
On top of that, why would we feel sorry for the Ukrainians after they continue to disrespect and harm our brothers and sisters from Africa? Why would want to lend aid and support to people that practice anti-Black racism even in the middle of a war?
As far as I’m concerned, that’s on them. That’s not FBA’s problem.
